Q

"I'll go with you......" I looked up at her.

She was pretty.....nah.....

Beautiful....

She had that typa clumsy, shy, nervous attitude. I thought it was different......

Cute.....

"Oh.....um....." She looked over at Treasure, the owner. I looked back at Treasure, who looked down at Mischa, with a small smile.

The picture in Dr. Greenley's office, did no justice for Treasure. She was fine as hell, a little young to be a vet, but whatever. The German Shepard yipped excitedly, scratching at the bars of her kennel. I gave her a smile, me and Treasure were walking through the large warehouse and they had some interesting animals. I was wondering why the woman didn't come back, but I saw her again, when I was walking down the hall.

I carefully watched her feed the animals, while talking to Treasure. I could hear Treasure talking bout the different animals, but my eyes was on the woman giving the animals food. A pretty smile on her face as they ran up to her, while she was putting the bowls down. Her dimples so deep, eyes bright in excitement.......

She not gonna want you, you're too fucked up.....

When me and Treasure got closer to her, I caught the woman when she tripped over an empty bowl. She was thick.....but her weight ain't do nothing to me. She felt......soft.....

No......

"It's ok.....it looks like Mischa is a lil excited to go." I looked back at the German Shepard, she was now tryna get the woman's attention. Mischa was a beautiful dog. The woman looked at me and gave a nervous, shy smile.

"I'll go get her.....leash." She pointed back to an open door. I slowly got up, watching her walk away. I cringed at the slight pain in my knee.

"Mischa is a lil partial to Nina, but she seems to like you, too...." Treasure pulled out a set of keys and unlocked the kennel door.

That's her name.

Nina......

The German Shepard flew out and ran around me and Treasure. I smiled when she softly dug her snout behind my bad knee. Usually it would bother me, with how uncomfortable it would feel......but right now it wasn't so bad.

"Hey mama....you wanna eat a lil bit before you go....?" Treasure took the only bowl left and sat it in front of Mischa, who started eating her wet food.

"We're giving her and two other dogs that came in bad conditions, high protein and calorie foods. She was underweight and giving her this, had been helping her gain steady and healthy weight." Treasure said running her hand on Mischa's head.

"How I go about adopting her....?" I liked Mischa, I liked this energy she had. A feeling crowded my chest around her. Treasure smiled at me.

"Well.....there's adoption papers to fill, training for you and her to take, so you both could connect more. Mischa can't be an outside dog, they're supposed to be consoling and giving you that need you desire. Help you....cope, so they are liable to be around you a lot. When you two connect more, she'll sense the anxiety you start to feel and help control it, by giving you that care, attention and affection." Treasure said. I nodded my head, crossing my arms.

Mischa's head lifted, when she noticed Nina coming. My attention was on her too. Mischa ran to her and threaded her body around Nina. I let out a small laugh, when Nina got on her knees, stroking Mischa's soft fur.

"I'm sorry for what you have experienced.....and if everything goes well with the adoption, which I'm sure it is......I hope Mischa will give you the consoling you need and help you throughout the years." I nodded softly, watching Nina get up and hook a leash on Mischa's collar.
