A Certain Pair of New Trainees

A flashback:
In Academy City 2nd District:
Kuroko and Uiharu were doing training grounds.
Kuroko: (For goodness's sake, why do I have to train together with the recruits, at this point? This is not the reason why I joined Judgement.)
Kuroko looks at Uiharu as she struggles to do push-ups.
Coach: Hey, Uiharu, can't you do even one?!
After the training, Uiharu gets her breath at a wall, when Kuroko came.
Kuroko: If you like, you can have some.
Kuroko gives Uiharu a drink.
Uiharu: T-Thanks, Kuroko.
Kuroko: No problem.
Uiharu: Oh, yeah, you've been already in Judgement for s year, Kuroko? So they must be allowing you to take part out in the field by now.
Kuroko: O-Of course they are.
Uiharu: I suppose that's out of the question for someone like me. I'm too big of a straggler. But I'm hoping that if I get into Judgement, even I might be able to change. But I just can't keep up with the training.
Kuroko: Follow your convictions, and act in a way you feel is right. That is one of Judgement's directives. If you have the will to stick by your feelings, then the results will come later on.
End flashback:

In Academy City:
Sonic: (Man, What a peaceful day it is. I do wish the others were here with me, but... I still keep thinking about what attack me. Was it only after me? Could it be Eggman's doing? But Eggman and Metal Sonic hadn't showed up yet. I should probably get this off me right now. I'll tell the others later.)
Sonic then saw a hot dog stand.
Sonic: Wow, so good!
Sonic instantly goes to the stand.
Sonic: I like two hot dogs on the double!
Man: You got it. Here you go.
Sonic: Thanks.
Sonic walks with his two hot dogs.
Sonic: (So good. I wonder what the others are doing.)
Sonic then herd a noise close to him.
Sonic: Hmm?
Uiharu: Kuroko!
Sonic: Hey, that sounds like, Uiharu. I gotta hurry!
Sonic eats his two hot dogs and runs to the scene.
Man: Hey, let's beat it!
Man2: Yeah!
Uiharu: P-Please, stop!
Man: Move it!
As the man goes to shock Uiharu, Sonic hold him down with his hand.
Sonic: I think you need to move it!
Man: What the?!
Sonic kicks him in the face as he fall down to the floor.
Man: W-Who the hell are you?!
Sonic: I'm Sonic! Sonic the hedgehog! The one you don't wanna mess with! Especially my friends! Sonic rushes to the man at incredible speed punching him in the gut as he falls over.
Sonic: You okay, Uiharu?
Uiharu: Yeah, I'm fine, but Kuroko...
Sonic: Kuroko! You okay?
Kuroko: Yeah, thanks. But my goodness, that took some time off of my life. Uiharu, you stil are not s full fledged officer, to be sure. You should stay back at the branch office, backing me up, just as you always have.
Sonic: Huh?
Uiharu: I-I... I did... I did say that there might be more than one of them! But Kuroko, you're the one who ignored me, didn't you?!
Kuroko: Well, I...
Uiharu: You always do this, Kuroko! You're always reckless, and act all on your own! That's why you're always writing up apology letters!
Kuroko: I-I cannot let you say that. When have I ever acted on my own—
Uiharu: When?! You're always doing it, aren't you?! Like just now! You could've waited for backup, but—
Kuroko: How can you be so complacent?
Sonic: Guys, calm down. I don't know what happened, but you two don't need to argue now.
Uiharu: Would you please think about what you've done! If you keep this up, what will become of the promise we made?!
Kuroko: Promise...?
Uiharu: You don't remember?
Kuroko: Well...
Uiharu: Okay, fine if that's what you think, Kuroko, then who cares?! Just do whatever you want!
Kuroko: Fine, then!
Uiharu goes off to the left, while Kuroko goes to the right.
Sonic: (Umm...? What about these guys Whatever, I don't even know where Antiskill is. I guess I'll go to where Misaka is. She said she'll be in her dorm now. I should get some stuff for us probably the rest too.)
In Judgement Branch Office:
Saten opens the door and goes inside.
Saten: Hello! Is Uiharu here?
Konori: You again? For Pete's sake, this isn't your hangout.
Saten: Yeah, yeah, I know. But I have a legitimate excuse today.
Saten shows Konori her worksheet from school.
Saten: Ta-da! My makeup worksheet! I was going to have Uiharu help me with it.
Konori: Geez... Uiharu is over there. But now may not be the best time. Uiharu is in a bit of a foul—
Saten: U-I-ha-ru!!
Saten pulls up her skirt, but Uiharu doesn't do anything.
Saten: Oh, clover today, huh? All right, where's the lucky four leaf clover, then? Uh, lookit, lookit, I'm hiking your skirt up. What a view! What's the matter with Uiharu?
Konori: She got into a little with Kuroko, so she's a bit, you know...
A sudden knock came from the door.
Sonic: Hello. Sonic, here.
Konori: Yes, come in.
Sonic came in the office with some food.
Sonic: Hey guys.
Saten: Hey Sonic. Ooo, is that food for us?
Sonic: Yeah. I also got one for you too, Konori.
Konori: Oh, Sonic, you're too kind.
Sonic: He he, it's nothing. Hey, Uiharu, I bought you some cake that you wanted.
Uiharu didn't say a word as she kept reading.
Sonic: Still from that argument with Kuroko, huh?
Saten: You knew what happened?
Sonic: Yeah. Apparently I saw them to the parking lot was. Anyway, Uiharu, I place the cake by your laptop. Hope you feel better soon.
Saten: That's nice of you.
Sonic: I told you, it's nothing. Anyway I should get going to Misaka. I went to get stuff for her too.
Saten: Okay then, see ya.
Konori: Bye.
Sonic: Yeah.
In Misaka's dorm:
Kuroko pats down on her bed as Misaka sitting on the table.
Misaka: Ah, I can't take it anymore! If this is bothering you that much, then you can go ahead and make up with her, already, can't you?!
Kuroko: The thing is...
misaka: If you don't do something, Uiharu is gonna stay disgusted with you, and your partnership really will fall apart.
Kuroko: If it ends over something like this, then it's not much of a relationship anyhow.
Misaka: There's That bravado again.
Kuroko: It's not bravado.
A bell rung from outside of Misaka's dorm.
Misaka: Who is it?
Sonic: Sonic.
Misaka: Oh, Sonic, come in.
Sonic comes in the dorm with a bag of food.
Sonic: I bought some food for u too.
Misaka: Really? Thanks.
Sonic: Your welcome. Here, Kuroko.
Kuroko: T-Thank you.
Sonic: So are you gonna talk to Uiharu again?
Kuroko: I-I don't know.
Sonic sats with Misaka on the bed.
Misaka: You and Uiharu have such different personalities, so how did you even become a partnership?
Sonic: I wanna know, too.
Kuroko: W-Well, I... did not mean for it to happen at first. She was so slow, and couldn't do anything. However...
Flashback:
The flashback begins with Kuroko as a kid.
Konori: Okay, that concludes our patrol for today. Do you have any questions or concerns?
Kuroko: Umm... there is something I would like to ask.
Konori: What is it?
Kuroko: It's been a year since I joined Judgement. So why is background work and odd jobs, and accompanying you on patrol all that I do?
Konori: You're upset that an honor student like you isn't being treated as a full fledged officer?
I wouldn't say that, exactly... but I wonder if it's because I am still in elementary school.
Konori: Your age isn't the only issue. In your case, for as much potential as you know, you have a habit of always trying to solve everything by yourself. You have to rely a little bit more on those around you, or you could get into trouble. Come on, don't make that face! As a reward for all of your hard work, I'll buy you something sweet. Hold on a minute, I just need to withdraw some money.
Konori walks off.
Kuroko: (She is treating me like a child.)
In the ATM:
Kuroko was with Konori as she looks around the ATM. A certain someone came to the ATM.
Uiharu: Ah, Kuroko! What a coincidence!
Kuroko: Uiharu? What are you doing in the 7th School District? Middle school is almost here, so I came to go look at the schools and dormitories.
Kuroko: Middle school? For whom?
Uiharu: Why, for me, of course. I mean, really...
Kuroko: O-Oh, yeah...? (She is the same age as me? I always thought she was two or three years younger.)
Uiharu: Kuroko, have you decided which middle school you're going to?
Kuroko: Y-Yes. It's a place called Tokiwadai Middle School.
Uiharu: Ehhhh?! Tokiwadai Middle School is one of the top five most prestigious schools in Academy City! Ah, I'm sure the academy life must be so elegant!
Kuroko: It may not actually be as glamorous as you make it out to be. While being perhaps rich and unworldly, all of the students are Level 3 espers or above. A lot of people have come together there, each thinking that they are someone special. I understand that includes a certain Level 5, who they call "Railgun"
Back in Misaka's dorm:
Sonic: So the Railgun was you, Misaka?
Misaka: Yes, I was. A certain Level 5.
Kuroko: Anyway.
Flashback:
A random person comes in the ATM with a bag.
Uiharu: I'm surprised you would say all that about someone you don't know.
Kuroko: Come to think of it, what are you doing here at the post office—
Uiharu: What's the matter?
Kuroko: Excuse me a moment.
Uiharu: Uhh...
Kuroko: Is something wrong?
Konori: That man. He's focusing on where the workers are and what they're looking at. I'm uncomfortable about peeking at people's possessions without their permission, but...
Konori uses her eyes to see what the guy had in his body. As she kept searching she saw a gun in his pocket. Konori whispers in Kuroko's ear.
Konori: He has a gun in his right pocket.
Kuroko: This is a robbery?
Konori: I'm gonna tell the workers. Be ready to lead the customers out, just in case anything happens.
Kuroko: You're not gonna arrest him?
Konori: Don't think anything so absurd. Let Antiskill deal with catching the criminals.
Kuroko: (That is so passive...!)
Konori goes to the lady and whisper at her to call Antiskill.
Konori: That's correct. Contact Antiskill immedi—
A sudden gunshot goes up in the air.
It was the guy with the bag.
Man: Don't try anything funny! A-And you customers, don't cause too much commotion, got it?
Konori: Damn, he made his move first.

Kuroko then runs towards the man.
Kuroko: (I'll just do like I've been trained!)
Kuroko steps on his foot and kicks him in the legs and grabs his hoodie to throw him to the ground and puts her leg in his stomach. The guns goes away from him.
Kuroko: What do you know? That was easy, was it not?
Uiharu: Ahhhh!
Man2: What are you, dense? How can you let a kid take you down? You're useless.
The man had a pocketknife in his hand next to Uiharu's neck.
Kuroko: Uiharu!
Man2: Oh? She's someone that you know, is she? Hmm... That works out just fine. Whoa there, don't move. You're Judgement, are you? Judgement wouldn't abandon a hostage, right? Much less one of their friends.
Konori: (This couldn't be worse.)
An alarm started as the shutters were going down. A bunch of robots come out to attack the intruder. As the robots goes after the intruder, Kuroko goes after it too. As the man had something in his pocket.
Konori: Watch out!
The robots exploded as Konori protects Kuroko from the blast.
Kuroko: What the..
Kuroko sees Konori bleeding and has taken damage.
Kuroko: Konori!
Konori: You don't charge them... if you don't know... what's up their sleeves... Remember that.
Kuroko: W-Why...?
Man2: Hey!
The man kicks Kuroko to the ground and puts his leg on her hand.
Kuroko: Guhaaa!
Man2: Hahaha hows that you little twerp?!
Kuroko: Theres only one thing I'll do!
Uiharu: Kuroko!
Kuroko touches Uiharu as Uiharu teleports outside.
Uiharu: Kuroko! Kuroko! Somebody! Somebody help me! There's a robber inside! Judgement is being attacked by a robber! Somebody help me! Please!
Man2: Hmm... looks like Antiskill will be coming soon, but who said I was gonna stay here?
The man throws a marble which destroys the shutters.
Man2: Say.. why don't we work together? We'll be unstoppable!
Kuroko: I'll never work with someone like you!
Man2: Find then! You can die!
As the marbles goes to Kuroko, a sudden laser blasted the marbles.
Man2: What the?!
Kuroko: Now's my chance!
Kuroko runs up and kicks the guy and throws him to the ground.
Kuroko: You're under arrest.
Few minutes later:
Antiskill came and arrested the men.
Uiharu: You sure are amazing, Kuroko. Imagine, you actually solving this by yourself!
Kuroko: Yeah... (What exactly was that?)
Uiharu: I'll make you a promise. "Follow your convictions, and act in the way you feel is right." I will also never stray from the sense of justice that I believe in! No matter what happens, I won't lose heart, and I'm sure that I'll be as good a Judgement officer as you, Kuroko.
Kuroko: I promise too, to you.
Uiharu: Yeah!
End of flashback:
Misaka: Wow, isn't that a nice story?
Sonic: Yeah. Tell me about it.
Kuroko didn't say anything.
Misaka: Hmm? What's the matter?
Kuroko: O-Oh, nothing. (That's the promise she meant, huh? But how do I apologize to her now?)
A sudden call form Kuroko came.
Kuroko: Y-Yes, Kuroko. Ehh?! Uiharu did?
Konori: Yes. Another car thief is on the loose and she went there alone. So, Kuroko, What are you gonna do about it?
Kuroko: I'm going to...
Sonic: Go get her!
Kuroko: Huh?
Sonic: Go to Uiharu now. This is your chance to apologize to her.
Misaka: Sonic's right. You should go, Kuroko.
Kuroko: T-Thanks Sonic, sissy. I'm off!
Sonic, Misaka: See ya!
With Uiharu:
Uiharu was running to where the parking lot is. Kuroko teleports to Uiharu as they run together.
Kuroko: W-What are you dawdling around for?! If you keep that up, the two of us will never become full fledged officers together!
Kuroko runs ahead as Uiharu does too.
In Misaka's dorm:
Misaka: Aww, she's always in a hurry.
Sonic: Man, am I sleepy.
Misaka: Same here.
Misaka was blushing when she was with Sonic alone.
Misaka: (Why is my heart beating so fast? Do I... like him? No no no! There's no way! He's not my type at all, but...) S-Sonic...
Sonic: Yes, Misaka.
Misaka: W-Would you... s-sleep with me?
Sonic: M-Misaka... Sure why not.
Misaka: R-Really?
Sonic: Yeah. I'm kinda getting tired of sleeping on the roof.
Misaka and Sonic goes on the bed together as Misaka slowly puts her body on Sonic.
Misaka: (Calm down Misaka, Calm down Misaka!)
Sonic: (W-Wha?! Calm down Sonic! I'm just sleeping with her, that's all!)
They both relaxed as they both closed their eyes and went to sleep.
