L/N residence - Attic

Gula pov

I walked out of the door and saw I was back in the Attic of my home. Merlin stands in front of me "that was truly a dark world you investigated, how do you feel?" He asked with concern "I'll be fine Merlin, I'm more confused than anything, how did you know what's going on?" I asked "the projector allowed us to see from your eyes while you were there" Merlin explained. "Wait, where is Max?" I asked noticing the young goof was not here.

"The guard armor came back, so young goof went to help Sora and co. He did see most of your journey however, don't worry I'm sure they have it handled" he said but I went out regardless, worried for Max.

Max pov

"Dad give me a boost" I yelled as I ran forth and jumped onto my dad's shield allowing him to boost me into the air and use my sword to strike the head of the opposite armor "Sora, now!" I shouted as he wacked it with his keyblade ending the fight. After the heartless disappeared I turned my sword back into my shield and Sora seals the keyhole. "Guys!" We turned to see it was Gula, I immediately hugged him "a-ah Max?" "Are you ok Gula, that sure was a dark world" "I'll be fine man, but thanks for the hug, really" he said as we part.

"What dark world?" Donald asked "ah, Max and I discovered a dark world that I, according to Merlin, am the only one who can come and go, but they're are heartless there and I can't seem to summon my keyblade there" "I've heard of something like this before, you'll have to find pieces of your keychain to regain your keyblade in said dark world" Merlin said appearing near us.

Gula pov

"Gula, I told you they can handle it" "yeah I know, but I still worry" I said "it's ok Gula, you're our friend, so we'd be worried about you too" dad said, heh, just like him. "Any who, your keyblade comes back to you when you leave a dark world but while in it, without your keychain in the world, you'll be defenseless" Merlin said. "However using my magic I linked you a weapon you can use in place of your keyblade" I smiled as I knew he was looking out for me.

"There are more reels out there, if you can find them and bring them back here, you'll be able to continue in the dark world" he said and I nodded "thanks Merlin" with that we were off to see Cid. He talked about being in the gummi business. We walked to the front gate when the one shadow with backpack was seen to the right "wak, a heartless" Donald called out. Said shadow in question began to run but I called out.

"Wait Ethan!" the others besides Max were confused as to why I called out to the shadow but were baffled as it stopped in it's tracks. "That's your name right, Ethan Walker?" The shadow spun around staring at the item in my hand as I approach him. "This fell out of your bag, here" I said as he took the journal out of my hands. He began to make gestures, I was confused.

"He asked how do you know his last name" I jumped to sound of the voice and looked behind me to see it was father. "You know sigh language?" I asked and he replies "remember about the girl I used to date before I met your dad?" I sighed and turned back to Ethan "I've been to the studio, the you used to work at" Ethan stepped back and than stood there signing.

"Do you find a drawing of mine?" Father translated I brought out the drawing I took from the studio and handed it to him. He took it and looked at it before putting it in his bag and gestured a thank you. He made more signs "I trust you, if you would let me, I would seek refuge in your shadow" we were all confused as father translated. Then aa thought occurred "oh sure, glad to have you aboard" I said as Ethan sunk into my shadow and became one with it.

"Wak, no, it's not coming with us!" Donald spoke up which prompt a glare from me "I don't think he cares" I stated as I walk by. After saying our goodbyes and calming Donald down we were off to the next world.
