It's dawn on April, 14 2020. 21 year old Matt wakes up from his bed in his apartment and stretches, brushes his teeth and makes a cup of coffee. Once done, he gets changed into a casual/modern style outfit, grabs his keys off of his bed's side-table and walks out the door locking it behind him. He walks down the stairs of the complex eagerly and makes his way outside and into the streets of downtown Boston.

He never takes a taxi because it would draw to much attention to the random place in Boston he was headed. So he takes the quarter of a mile stroll and turns casually into an alleyway. A dark concrete wall, or so it seemed, confronted him, but he kept on walking and then he vanishes as he collides with it. To whoever could have been watching the wall seemed like putty as if he phased through it. The moment he crosses to the other side a world was awaiting him.

The first check he would have to go through was the "The Keep check station", the place everyone would put their magical object to the manager to be put into the keep. Which was absolutely necessary before anyone with magic could leave. They would get their object back though of course, whenever they come back in.

Matt, being an illusionist, never put his magical staff in The Keep, just made it seem that way. The Keep appears as like a shed at the Realm Gate(the entrance) with a cash register looking thing with a screen. Only someone very trustworthy and honorable manages The Keep check station. The process is, before you can leave you must give your object to the manager of the keep check station. Then the manager will scan your object, which will categorize it in the type of magic it is and under the name of the owner. That makes it easier to be found in the pile of objects in the keep. To find the object again in the keep the manager presses a thing on the screen shown as "Find Object" and the owner name would be typed in to the text input next to it. Next, enter is pressed and the object will have an aura on it. The manager steps away from the station and into the keep looking for the aura.

In order to not have to give up his staff, Matt creates an elaborate illusion every time he leaves the realm. First he would give up a fake staff and make it show the objects categorization and his name on the screen. Then he would make the aura around his fake staff when he is in the process of getting it back. Outside the realm carrying a staff around Boston would be sorta weird so he makes his staff appear to be a "U.S.A" pin when outside the realm.

So he gets his fake staff back and once finished he heads for his house. He gazes around at the beautiful, magical place the realm was. He saw young kids flying past him on baby dragons and friendly magic battles happening in the triangle, commonly known as the arena. Yet the battles didn't happen in a actual arena, they just happened right out in the open. Shops lined the edges of the fancy marble streets and the polished granite sidewalks. Matt sees the large magic school at the end of Magic Lane, the first street you are on once you enter the realm. Magic Lane was considered by almost everyone to be the main place and more of a town or city, with shops, the main school, the extreme warlocks and where strong magicians go to do competitions, tournaments and battles.

I guess Matt would be considered an extreme magician, but he is not very liked. Lets just say he seems to always start trouble. He is good with kids though, all the kids who live on Magic Lane pretty much adore him. I mean kids love tricks, so you could guess they would love his illusions. He actually doesn't use his Illusion Staff, his born object, often. He normally uses his elemental magic. He is also known to have his own sort of training dojo in his house to practice.

He continues down the Magic Lane, to the urban area where the houses were, which were very close to the school. The houses aren't what you would normally expect though, well... they float above each other. If magics going to be used I guess it's going to be used in almost every way even if it's to put an everlasting floatation spell on houses. You might be wondering how would you get up to your floating house - well through levitation or some way of flying, but ask for your parents assistance if your not past 4th grade of magic school.

Matt arrives at his house which is 5 houses up. He doesn't levitate or fly just something everybody hates. He smashes his staff into the ground attracting everybody's attention as he starts to rise from uplifting earth. It's so dang loud and all his neighbors hate him for it! "Matt!" says his old cranky neighbor, Josie, from the first level of houses. "Your going to wake up the Frost Golems on the other side of the realm! Even humans can probably hear you!" Josie finishes as Matt passes above her without a care. Matt finally shouts down at her. "Good morning to you too." Josie scoffs then starts. "No it's not a good morning because you came and woke me up! I'm tired, I want to go back to bed and now I'm ranting, so thanks for that!" He chuckles as she finishes, goes inside and slams her door

Matt unlocks his door and walks inside whistling as he tosses his key up in the air, twirls it around and floats it across the room and on to his counter. He walks through his house across the white ornate tile floor and into the small kitchen. He goes to his outdated black shiny stove, and grabs from above him on a hanging rack, a pan and puts it on a burner and turns it on to medium-heat. He heads to his large cabinet/pantry to the right of the stove and takes out a box of pancake mix. Then from the left of the stove in a small cabinet underneath a drawer and the grey marble counter, he opens the brown door and reaches in to grab a small metal bowl. He sets it on the grey marble island and fills up a couple cups of water pouring them into the bowl. Next he scoops some pancake mix into the bowl, grabs a fork out of the drawer and mixes. He would normally do this with magic but it got messy last time when he got distracted by the T.V. Once the batter is all smooth he tips over the bowl over the pan and batter pours out like a slow waterfall on to the pan. He likes his pancakes big so he just keeps pouring until it almost fills the shallow pan with batter.

He lets that be and walks out of his kitchen into his living room which is directly open to the kitchen. He sits on his brown leather sofa which lies 2 yards from a door that leads to a balcony and grabs the remote resting on the side-table beside the sofa and turns the T.V. on to local news.

After about 2 minutes he raises his hand in the air making the drawer open, then keeping his hand up a spatula is taken and floated to the pan. He looks over into the kitchen for the precise flipping and he makes a little circle with his finger and the spatula flips the pancake. He waits a bit then gets up and walks into the kitchen. He grabs a plate from a cabinet on the wall near the stove and sets it on the island pushing away the bowl. After grabbing syrup from the fridge and setting it beside his plate he lifts his pancake with his spatula and turns to the plate from which he cautiously sets it down.

He thinks for a moment then decides to go crazy with his pancake, so he runs to his fridge takes out strawberries and whipcream. He first cleans and cuts the strawberries then drizzles his pancake with syrup and makes a huge spiral of whipcream on it and lastly tops it with cut strawberries.

Perfection! he thinks to himself before licking his lips taking the plate and a fork and sitting on the couch. He hastily eats the pancake in less than 2 minutes. He puts the plate and fork in the sink and cleans up then relaxes on the couch.

Thinking of what to do, he finally decides to go train in his dojo. So, he gets up and heads into his dojo filled with dummies. "Wait, where's my staff?" he says to himself. He looks down at his shirt to see his pin. "Oh! haha I forgot!" He says just as he takes it off. After a dim flash of light the pin instantly turns into the staff. Matt then faces a dummy 3 yards away with fierce eyes as he gets into a low stance. He holds his staff by his back then poof. From behind the dummy he appears as the illusion fades and he strikes the dummy head on. That's his favorite illusionist trick, making it appear he's somewhere when he's actually somewhere else. He then setting his staff down extends his hand toward a dummy 4 yards away palm-up and whoosh, a ball of fire lay in hands. He immediately winds up like he's about to give a fierce punch and chucks the fireball at the dummy blowing it up and the window beside it. "Oh oof!" He chuckles, not really paying attention to how much that window costed.

He determines that may be enough for right now and he goes back into the living room and then out onto his balcony. With his staff he stands on the edge and falls off flying 4 levels of houses down with air shooting up into his face and stops suddenly and levitates when he gets to about a foot from the ground. Still floating he turns to the window right next to his face to see Josie in her living room not seeing him. "Hey Josie!" He shouts knocking on the window. She turns. "Go away Matthew!" she shouts at him sternly. "Yikes! okay, okay." Matt says putting his feet to the ground walking around her house and onto the sidewalk.
