10 years before the beginning of the story, fear reigned over the realm for some time as the villain so popularly named "The Cloaked Bandit" or "The Black Magician" spread his terror. At that horrific time he rampaged through small villages only leaving behind the lifeless bodies of innocent families. Although the elders of the villages put up a fight, it was utterly useless against his soul stealing totem. As almost all small villages were completely empty from his passing through them, he took to the most populated city in the realm, Magic Lane. Fortunately for it's residence it is home to the most powerful of magicians. He stealthily walked through with no suspicions and came to the keep which he made explode by blasting all the magical objects into dust and in so doing creating an explosion of magic. The magicians quickly took action and fought their best; but The Cloaked Bandit, not defeated in the epic battle, fled far away and hasn't been seen or mentioned since.
