I got home and put my bag on the table, my younger sister Rita running up the stairs to her room. Rita was now fifteen and a freshman at my school. I hated the fact that she went to my school, because then she'd know what people said about me. Even worse, she'd probably have to put up with the same bullying too.

"Rita! Don't be long up there, I'm gonna start dinner soon." I shouted up the stairs, putting my jacket on its hanger. I checked through my phone and put it down, only for it to ring and be picked up again. It was Zach, one of my best friends at the moment.

"Hey Zachy, what can I do for you?" I asked as I put him on speaker and started to wash my hands. "I was wondering if I could come over? Just to hang out. We haven't hung out in forever!" He asked, making me smile. "Yeah of course! You can actually help me prep cook, and then we have to go pick up Carlos from the nursery" I told him, drying my hands.

"Okay, sounds good. I'll see you in like ten minutes" He stated, saying goodbye and hanging up the phone. I looked up and saw my younger sister, who bared a slight smile on her face. "Zach is comming over? Sweet!" She cheered, smiling more. I smiled back and layed out the chopping board. "Behave yourself, RJ. He's seventeen. You've just turned fifteen. Not happening, you understand?" I chuckled, chopping up the vegetables.

She rolled her eyes and slumped down on the sofa. "He's only four years older than me" She mumbled. I looked up at her "Ah, ¿Qué te acabo de decir?" I asked with a slight tone in my voice. "I didn't say anything!" She yelled back, rolling her eyes. I hummed in response and continued with the vegetables.

There soon was a knock at the door and Rita looked out the window before opening the door. I heard a couple of hellos and whatever before a tall Zach Dempsey walked into my living room. I smiled up at him, quickly throwing the vegetables into a pan and washing my hands.

"Hey, girlfriend" I greeted, smiling widely. "Hey bitch" He joked back, hugging me tightly. I pulled away "How are you?" I asked. "I'm good, what about you?" He replied. I took a second to think "I'm okay." He helped with the prep cooking but we soon had to leave and pick up my little brother from daycare.

Zach drove me and him to the daycare and we waited patiently outside for a lady to bring us my brother. "Excuse me, but aren't you too young to be parents?" An older lady asked us both. I turned to face her and let out a small laugh. "We're not parents, we're not even together! We're picking up my baby brother" I told her, weirded out. Her eyes went wide and she quickly hurried off with her child.

I spotted a lady carrying a small, black haired baby in her arms. She was heading my way, smiling at me. I smiled back and went to go meet her at the door. In her arms layed my sleeping baby brother, Carlos. He made no noise, looking adorable and sweet. "Here he is, he's been good all day as usual" The lady said, handing my brother over. I took him in my arms and thanked her for looking after him.

"He's getting so big!" Zach commented, smiling down at the baby boy. He was almost a year old but to me, he will always be a baby. "Yeah I know!" I replied. On our short walk back to Zachs car we heard a familiar voice calling our names. I wanted to just keep walking but Zach turned around and before I knew it, they were having a full conversation. Of course it was Monty.

"Zach! Rose! The fuck are you two doing?" He asked, a smirk planted on his stupid face. "What does it look like, douchebag" I answered, notioning to the baby in my arms. Monty looked down and his face softened, smiling cutely. "Is that Carlos? He's so big now!" Monty said, tilting his head. I don't know what was cuter, the way Monty looked at my brother or my brother himself. My brother. Shut up brain.

"I know! We're totally gonna have to teach him to play football and shit" Zach said. I frowned "No way, the only thing Monty could ever teach him is how to be a short tempered fuckboy. Not happening" I snapped With a slightly evil laugh, turning around and walking away. I was soon followed by Zach. He tried asking me about my hatred towards Monty, but it's simple. I don't hate him. I just hate how things ended between us.

"I thought you two weren't friends!" Monty shouted, sitting on my bed. I faced him, tears streaming down my face. "She didn't deserve to die! We may have had an argument but I still loved her like my own!" I yelled back, wiping my tears and balling my fists. "Well if you loved her so much, why didn't you just go and fuck her. She was a crazy lesbo anyways" Monty mumbled, loud enough for me to hear.

I was taken aback by his words. How could he say that? "Get out of my house" I said in a low tone. He looked at me, confused. "I said get the fuck out De La Cruz. Before I call the cops...or worse. I'll fucking kill you" I continued.
He slowly got off my bed, walking towards me. "Baby I-" He started but I cut him off "Do not 'baby' me. We're done. Don't call me. Don't text me. Don't talk to me ever again."

His body seemed tense and angry but I didn't care. I watched as he left my room, slamming the door behind him. I watched his car leave my driveway and after a few seconds I flopped onto my bed, completely breaking down into a mess of tears and anger.
