"Frisk!" She heard his voice, reaching out to her. It was so close... she tried reaching out to him, but his face was fading away. She tried to call out to him, but nothing came out of her mouth. Her eyelids slowly started to close, and she lost consciousness.
When she opened her eyes again, all she could see was darkness, all around her. There didn't seem to be anything else. Where am I? Frisk thought. Then a voice interrupted her thoughts.

Frisk scratched her head. "Uh... what?" It sounded like a bunch of bleeps.
The mysterious man seemed to shake his head, then handed her a strange type of machine. Frisk took it, and the mysterious language cleared up. "WELCOME, FRISK. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU."
Frisk immediately jumped from the sound of his voice. "W-who are you? Aand how do you know my name?"
The man grinned creepily. He removed his mask to reveal a cracked skull. Frisk gasped. "Y-you!"
"Indeed, human, indeed. It is I, W.D. Gaster."
