Shuichi's POV
Today it took me a little longer to get my work done so I had to stay in class for a couple more minutes than everybody else, but I don't really mind. My teacher gave me my homework and I headed out of class to leave. I was walking out of school when I swear I heard Kaito's voice. I did. I started walked towards the side of the school, because that's where it was coming from. I couldn't believe what I saw. Kaito and Maki was calling Kokichi names and... it looked like Kokichi was hurt. It had to be from Kaito and Maki because I knew the marks weren't there earlier today. It hurt me to see Kokichi being hurt. "Kaito,Maki,W-what are you doing?!" I said just loud enough for them to hear me. "Oh- um- it's not what it looks lik-" Kaito was talking before Maki cut him off. "We we're teaching the brat a lesson." Maki said coldly. I wanted to wish this was a misunderstanding but... I knew it wasn't. I can't believe the people who I thought were my best friends would do this to someone innocent. "Leave him alone." I'm angry, I really wish they never did this. Kokichi looked slightly surprised that I said that. "Ouma, do you mind if I take you to the nurses office?" I asked. After school activities were still going on so students still inside school weren't weird or anything. "Uh, sure?" he seemed confused by the situation. I wonder why?

Kokichi's POV
Since when did Shuichi care about me? Well actually, when did anyone care about me? As I stud up, I saw Maki looking angry and Kaito looked the same.

When we got to the Nurses office. Shuichi found the bandages and other stuff, and covered any place I was hurt. "How long has this been going on?" To me, it felt like forever, but now that I think about it...It's only been two months. "About two months, but it felt like foreverrrrr.." I said bringing out the 'ever' part.  Shuichi looked concerned. Why would he be? I don't think he's ever cared about me in the past. So what changed? "Do they do this any t-times other then after school?" Shuichi asked me. "Sometimes in lunch." I said, I felt like a snitch. "Um.. Would you mind eating with me in lunch? I just want to make sure you don't get hurt a-again.." Shuichi asked me another question, not that I mind. "But don't you sit with Maki and Kaito?" I asked, why would I sit with my bullies? "Well, I used to. But if they're going to bully yo- someone. Then I won't sit with them anymore." Now I just felt like it's my fault he doesn't have his best friends anymore... "Oh, okay! Sure! But then who will you sit with?" I said. I wouldn't want him to just sit with just me. I don't need him to lower his reputation just for me. "I'll probably sit with Kaede or Kiibo." Shuichi said to me. "Okay, I guess I'll see you tomorrow. I'm guessing you're walking home, right?" I said with curiosity. "Yeah, I do everyday." Shuichi replied. "Can I walk with you?" I asked, I really hope he says yes. "S-sure. But what if we live in completely different directions?" Shuichi asked. "Then that's fine! I'll just walk the other way, when we get to your house!" I said happily. I didnt mind having to walk more, It's not like there's anyone at my house to get mad at me for it. "Oh, um, okay." Shuichi said as he walked with me to outside. Then we walked home together, turns out we live pretty close, just one street away from me. We talked the whole way there. Maybe Shuichi isn't as bad as I though.
