Benji's pov

he kissed me passionately back for a few moments. Until I pulled away..

"I- I'm sorry about that." I said, getting up off the blanket on the ground. I had really just fucked up. But maybe it was for the better?

"I am too.." what? I began to walk away, but my heart got the better of me. So I turned back around to face him.

"You know what I'm not sorry I don't take it back," I said furiously.

"I thought we were just gonna be friends?" He said obliviously. God dammit.

"I can't handle it. I can't keep my feelings all bottled up like you.." he blinked at me innocently. It was just making me even more angry.

"Can you honestly tell me that you feel NOTHING for ME!?" I roared. He nodded quaintly.

"Yea- uh- I have feelings for you Benji." He said doe eyed, staring up at me.

"The- then what's wrong!??" I questioned. "It's not like you have a husband, unless you're married to Jesus." I spat.

"That's not fair!" He finally said.

"Why can't we be together?!"

"You really wanna know why?"

"Yes, I wanna know why!"

Everything slowed between us. I could almost read every emotion on his face. I could tell by the way he was looking at me that he longed for us. He quickly stood up off the ground, looking at me upset. I couldn't blame him.

"It's because I don't trust myself with you" he said calmly, shaking his head back and forth. He walked away, and I let him. I wouldn't force him into anything. I loved him, and maybe someday, I'd hear him say the same to me.
