Secret Love

"How about this, isn't it just perfect?" Serena asked as she showed me a sleeves white dress which went all the way to her knees.

We had been in her room for almost two hours but she still hadn't found a dress yet. Jay was to pick Serena up at 7 and they were to drop me off.

"I love it, it will look perfect with your red trench coat and those shiny white heels of yours," i tell her pointing at the shoes.

"I dont know....let me try just one more."

"Come on ,Jay is almost here and you've tried on almost every dress you own," i said almost yelling.

"Ok jeez, i'll go with this one."

"Am sorry ,i dint mean to shout ,am so sorry."

"Its ok, you are right after all anyway are you ok, you've not been yourself today and dont think i have forgoten what you said in the car.I hope you are not hiding anything fom me? She said gazing at me.

"Am not hiding anything from you, now back to your date."

Serana looked at me suspiciously.She knew me too well to know something was up.

"Ok," she said glancing at me briefly and then went on with her business.

I dint like keeping secrets from her but how was i supposed to tell her that I think i like the same guy that she obsessed with.

"Do you think he'll like what am wearing? i mean you know him well enough to know what he likes ."

"Jay will love that ," i tell her giving her a very reassuring smile.

Jay was already downstairs waiting for us when we got there and Mrs Johnson ,Serena's mum was keeping him company. She was a very nice woman and very fun to be around.It was obvious Chris got most of his charm from her.

Jay was in a black skinny trouser and a plain white tshirt which was hugging his well arranged muscles.He was also holding a black leather jacket in his hand.

Hot damn ,this guy was going to be the end of me.He looked so good i was almost drooling, to bad he'll never be mine.

I was brought back to my senses when jay came towards us and took Serena's hand to help her take the last step down the stairs.

"Hey ladies," he said with a smile expossing his perfect set of teeth.

"Hey," Serena and i both said Simultaneously.

"You look Gorgeous Serena," he said as he looked at her from head to toe.

I must admit that i was very jealous wishing it was me he was looking at that way.

"Stop it sky ,you cant be falling for him ,you are just confused ok" my councious told me. I had to do something about this feelings before i went crazy.

Something seemed off with Jay. He dint look or talk to me the way he usually did ,its like he was mad at me or something and this really was starting to bother me.

" Have fun and make sure you are home by ten ,remember tomorrow is a school day," serenas mum said as we were on our way out.

We got to the car and Serena sat with Jay while i took the back seat .They had already started a conversation and seemed to be really enjoying themselves.Maybe this was going to work for them.

"Earth to sky ," Serenas voice brought me back to reality.I hadn't realized that my mind had wonderd.

"Sorry about that ,whats up?"

"Jay invited us to his birthday party on friday you are in right?" she asked.

"Since when did you start having parties and does your mum know ?" i asked Jay very shocked.

Jay like me was never into parties.His family always organized a small family dinner which my family was always invited to and later on jay would hang out with his friends but never a party.

"Well my friends thought of throwing me a party since its my 18th birthday and i din't want to dissapoint them and yes my mom is ok with this as long as it wasn't going to be in her house," he said avoiding eye contact with me.

Jay's mum was one strict woman who always loved discipline.I was very afraid of her at first before i came to know about her sweet kind and loving side.

"I dont think i can make it"

"Come on just one party won't hurt, you know i wouldn't go without you," Serena said trying to convince me.

"Is the dinner still happening ?" i asked Jay who was still acting weird .

"Yeah, the party the will be at Jims house after the dinner.

"Wait, is that the Jim that has had the biggest crush on sky since forever?" Serena asked.

"Yes ,he just joined my band."

"Its decided ,we are so going to that party sky, you need to mingle and get yourself a boyfriend." Serena said giving me a mischivious look.

Jim was this guy that had been wooing me ever since we started highschool.He was a nice guy but i was never into him.He was so persistent that i even felt sorry for him but we all know that the heart wants what it wants.Serena was right though,maybe dating was going to keep my mind of jay.I know the thought was crazy but i needed a distraction.

"Ok am in ," i said looking out the window avoiding Jays gaze through the front mirror.

"Now thats like my girl,party here we come," Serena said smirking lightly.

"Are you really coming to the party to find a boyfriend?" Jay asked raising his eyebrows in surprise.

"Ofcourse not but who said you cant find love at a party," I said not so sure what i was talking about.

"Well you dont find love sky love finds you," he said turning slowly to look at me with unreadable eyes.

"True,and maybe love will find sky at the party," Serena said.

"Ok you guys are officially crazy,"Jay said shaking his head.He was still acting weird but atleast he was talking to me.A few minutes later we were at my place.

"Have a great time ," i said as soon as the car was parked opening the door and stepping out.

I went straight to my room and cuddled myself up on my bed with so many question running through my mind.

How will the date be? Why was he mad at me ? Am i really falling for Jay?This was going to be the worst week ever.
