Secret Love

chapter 8

The houses in Jim's neighborhood were identical right down to the shade of paint but i knew which one was his house from the loud music coming from it.

The party was already in full swing when we got there. Everyone was in groups either playing games, dancing and some were even smoking. The living room was a dance floor with a DJ and I wondered where all that furniture were.

"The birthday boy is here, "Jim yelled walking towards us as soon as he spotted Jay and everyone else screamed happy birthday.

I swear my ears were almost deafening from all the screams and the loud music.

"It's about time! you should have been here an hour ago, " Jim said giving Jay a bro hug before turning to look at us.

Jim's eyes nearly bugged out of when he saw me. The way he looked at me made me feel so self conscious.

"Wow sky! You look super hot."

"Thanks Jim, nice job with the party, " I told him.

"What am I chopped liver?"  Serena asked throwing daggers at Jim.

"Hi Serena,  looking good, " Jim said giving her a hug.

"Ok, you guys have fun and sky don't forget you owe me a dance, "Jim said before leaving.

Serena excused herself to go and get us drinks. She didn't even care to ask if I was drinking or not.

Typical Serena.

"Would you care to dance with me? " Jay leaned over and whispered in my ear. His deep husky voice set my insides on fire.

"I think Serena should have the first dance since she your date, "I turned to him and said trying so hard to hide how he was making me feel.

"It's my birthday and I decide who I dance with first, "he said taking my hand and leading me to the dance floor, before I had the chance to say anything.

When we got to the dance floor a slow song was on. Jay held me tight and we danced around as the slow song played. His right hand held mine to his chest and I could feel my heart beat strong and even.

I rested my head on his chest and sighed. His left hand traced circles on the lower back of my head and sending delicious shiver down my spine.

Being in his arms felt so right.

"I really missed this, " he said pulling me closer to his body and kissed the top of my head.

I felt a sensation grow into the pit of my stomach. At this moment all i knew is that I wanted to be here, in his arms forever.

We stayed there swaying on the dance floor for so long I had lost track of how many songs had played.

"I believe it's my turn now," I heard Serena's voice say from behind me.

"Of course ... he's all yours," I said untangling myself from him.

"I'll go get myself a drink, " I told them as I watched Serena walk straight into Jay's arms.

"Don't go to far, "Jay said.

"Yes daddy, " I told him my voice full of sarcasm.

"I mean it ! " he said in a commanding voice.

"Okay! "I said rolling my eyes then left.

I walked past rooms full of drunk hormonal teenagers making out all over. The music was still to loud, and  I wondered why the neighbours hadn't complained yet.

The mood was just out of this place and as I looked around I noticed that a lot of the school showed up.

Everyone I spotted was holding a party cup full of alcohol. Wasn't underage drinking illegal?
