Get Mike, everyone else. Liam puts his arm in the way, he was very lucky. Upper arm.

"Oh no," Toby said as his foot pressed against the trigger for a bear trap. They had been put up around the dumping ground by mistake and they all should have been removed. "Help! Someone help me!" He shouted. "Help! Help!"
"Toby?" Liam asked as he heard his cries, and he went to investigate. "Toby? Are you alright?"
"Liam. Liam, my foot..."
"What's wrong with your foot?"
"It's on a trap..."
"What do you mea... oh," Liam said as he saw the trap under Toby's foot. "There's not supposed to be any of those left."
"Well, clearly this one was forgotten about!"
"I'll get Mike."
"No!"
"No?"
"I can't stay like this. I have to move."
"You can't move. It'll take your foot off."
"I know, but I can't stay like this!"
"Alright. Alright," Liam said and he lay on the ground. "Don't move."
"I'm trying not to," Toby said. He tried to keep his balance as Liam looked at it.
"It's a simple mechanism, but I can't disable it."
"What were we going to do? I can't lose my foot."
"I know... Alright Toby. I have a plan, but you could lose your foot."
"No. No. Whatever you're thinking Liam..."
"I'm going to call for an ambulance. Then we let the trap close and try to slow the mechanism so it doesn't take your foot off. Then we get you to the hospital alright? Does it sound good?"
"No! It doesn't sound good!"
"Well, it's the only idea we have so I'm going for it," Liam said before he brought out his phone. "Ambulance please. Elm Tree House. A kid's got his foot stuck in a bear trap. Yeah, a bear trap. Bloody everywhere. Lots of blood. Ok... ok, thanks." Liam said, and he hung up the phone.
"They're on their way."
"I can't stay still!"
"Hold on Toby," Liam said and he picked up a pair of sticks. He placed them on either side of Toby's foot. "This'll hurt Toby. On 3. 1, 2, 3," Liam said and Toby closed his eyes as he lifted his foot off the trigger.
"Arh! ARGH!" Toby screamed as the teeth cut through the wood and into his foot. "Argh!"
"Oh... that's a lot of blood."
"Liam!"
"Sit down Toby. An ambulance is coming."
"Argh," Toby said and Liam helped him to sit down.
"Good. Now just try to..."
"I don't feel good..."
"Neither do I."
"No... I'm going to..." Toby said and he fell backwards, onto the ground.
"Toby? No... Toby? Toby, wake up! Toby!" Liam shouted, but Toby was unconscious. His ankle had been deeply cut into, and it was bleeding heavily. "No, no, no, no. Help! Help!" Liam shouted, but he stayed with Toby. "Come on Toby."

Toby woke up to beeping around him.
"Urh..." He groaned and Liam sat up on the chair beside him.
"Toby? Are you awake?"
"Liam?"
"Yeah. It's me. You're in hospital."
"My foot?"
"It's still there. They had to do some surgery, but you've still got it."
"It worked then?"
"It did. Sort of. I'm sorry that I couldn't stop it damaging your foot."
"That's ok. Where's Mike?"
"He's asleep. It's the middle of the night."
"You're here too?"
"Of course I am. I had to make sure you were alright."
"Thanks. Bad things always happen to me."
"Not always."
"Yes, they do."
"Yesterday was very unlucky. But we all use those woods, it could have been any one of us. It could have been me."
"But it wasn't."
"No.... it wasn't."
"I know that you're trying to help Liam, but..."
"Toby, you're awake," Mike said as he woke up.
"Yeah. I am."
"How are you feeling?"
"Alright."
"Good. Are you in pain?"
"No."
"Great. The painkillers are doing their job. Liam? What are you doing here?" Mike asked as he saw him.
"I wanted to make sure that Toby was alright."
"He saved me Mike."
"So I heard. Still, you should be in bed back at Elm Tree House Liam."
"I saved his foot. You should be thanking me."
"I should be. Thank you Liam. Go back to sleep Toby. You need rest."
"I am pretty tired."
"Just take it easy."
"I will. Thank you," Toby said and he went back to sleep.
