"Your going to a Father, ¿puedes creerlo?"(can you believe it?)
"No, no puedo creerlo. Estoy tan orgullosa de ti.." (No, I can't believe it. I'm so proud of you.)
"Te vas a quedar conmigo, ¿Verdad? With us." (You're going to stay with me, right?)
"Yeah- Yes.. Of course, bebé."

Mel's POV:
Frankie and I were on the metro bus to Freeridge, it's been along time since I've been there. I know if I go their is bound to be some faces I don't want to see but you only live once, right? My bestfriend Jay has suggested me and my son come stay with her for some months til' we go back to Chicago. It's gonna take a day to get there but I wasn't worried. Mi hombrecito was sleeping, he looked so cute.

I knew the seats on the bus would be uncomfortable so I brought a white cover for my little man. I guess I should do the same, this is gonna take a while.

I start to wake up, rubbing my eyes. Frankie was already up staring outside the window. Once he realized I was awake he smiled revealing his cute 2 front teeth. "What are you doing, Pequeño" I said while reaching over to tickle him. I love him so much. He giggled. He held up 4 fingers, I looked at them confused. He counted them, "one, twu, thrwee faur minutes!" He said and I hugged him making him smile and giggle again, "You're so smart Hombrecito." I guess that he meant we had 4 minutes til' we arrived at the bus stop. I called Jay to let her know. I gave Frankie my phone after to let him watch Mickey Mouse, "Watch too Mommy?" I kissed his cheek. "Okay baby."

"MEEEEELLLLLLL!" Jay exaggerated my name all the way until we came face-to-face. People stopped and stared but she clearly didn't care, I just laughed. "Hey beesstie." I said dropping my duffelbag, while keeping Frankie on my hip to give her a side hug. "Look at you!" She said referring to Frankie. "You got so big 'Lil dude." She rubbed his shoulder softly as he hid his face on my shoulder blade. Jay pouted at his act but she laughed it off. "Frankie this is Auntie Jay. Remember, she threw you a little birthday party." He turned to look at her and waved. "Soooo, what are we doing for you birthday?" I asked her , Jay was just turning 20. "Shit, party." I hit her lightly with my duffelbag as we were walking to her car. "My bad," She said smiling. "But I'm hosting an adult night at my bakery." I looked at her. "How the hell are you gonna have an adult night at a bakery?" She gave me a look and I looked down at Frankie then back at her. "He'll be alright." I said, she laughed.
She pulled up to her street but stopped at an unfamiliar house. "Come on." She said, I looked at her confused but unbuckled my seatbelt and got Frankie out from his car seat. I was lucky she even had that old thing. We walked up to a gate which she unlocked and went in. We got up to the house and she knocked. I could hear the voice that was talking quiet down. The door opened. A man with really good hair wearing a white beater and button-up shirt, which was opened was standing there. He looked nervous.

"Jaycee? H- Hey, hey." Mario laughed nervously. "What are you doing here?" He said.
"Well, I know you are leaving in the morning for College. I see that class ring boy." Jay laughed Mario looked down at it and smiled. "Anyway this is Meilani-" I cut her off "Mel for short." I said. "I'm Mario, I was just giving these noobies the run down on high school." He stepped back to reveal them.

"Cesar, Monse, Jamal, and my little brother Ruby." They all looked. "Ruben! It's Ruben. But you can call me Ruby." He smirked and Monse jabbed him. "Don't mind him, it's nice to meet you." She said. "Yeah, nice to meet you." Cesar said, "Nice to meet you" Jamal said after. I smiled they are good kids, Frankie started to shift. "It was nice meeting y'all." I said. "Yeah, good luck at writing camp, Monse." Jay said. "Thanks Jaycee!" She shouted after we started to walk off. The door closed behind us. "They seem nice." I said to Jay as she got in the car. "Mhm." I buckled Frankie back in his car seat, she rode down the street to her house. There was a house more further than here with a bunch of cholos on the porch, and a couch outside? That reminded me of the old days. I sighed. "Come on, girly." Jaycee said. "Alright, I'm comin'."
This was gonna be a good time.
