6: unrequited love

you were the artist,
i was just the canvas,
you painted bruises and scars
made me to lose, break, and blast.

you were the king,
i was the servant,
my love and loyalty
would always be abundant.

you were the player,
i was the cheer captain,
i would always be there
win or lose, rain or shine.

you were the lead actor,
i was one of the extras,
wishing to be your partner
wishing to have an 'us'.

you ran, i chased.
you walked away, i stayed.
you shouted, i listened.
you left, i waited.

with all the roles we had acted,
mine was kind of tiring,
lost all of my worth,
i would always be nothing.
