The next days, Jaemin had been visiting HeeSook at night, when almost no one was active. At first, he had some problems sneaking from the guards, and went waking, taking a bit longer. Jeno still backing him up, and sometimes guarding them just in case someone came.

"I'm so happy we're together" said HeeSook, cuddling in Jaemin's arms. The prince held her softly, passing his hand through her wing's soft feathers.

Jaemin planted a soft kiss on her forehead. She adjust herself so she could turn her head and see directly into his eyes. Both started to lean in, until their lips touches. It was a soft kiss, but it didn't last long when HeeSook started burning. Fire was reflected in Jaemin's eyes, him getting burned. HeeSook couldn't control the fire. Jaemin tired to get away while she tried to stop her fire.

"Jeno!" she shouted despair. He came running watching her already put out. Jaemin was laying in her arms, with burns. She was crying, but somehow her tears weren't curing him. "I don't know what happened! We just kissed and I was on fire" she cried.

"what do we do? shall we take him to the kingdom?" asked Jeno not knowing what to do. His best friend was burned, he was being held by a phoenix, it wasn't a good idea to take him there.

"Let's take him home, Minhyun will know what to do" she said cleaning her tears. Jeno took his best friend cautiously, not wanting to hurt him.

They walked for a few minutes and Jeno started looking for the so called entrance, he imagined some kind of enchantment or something, but instead there was a largue curtain of plants. HeeSook opened it and hurried Jeno.

"Minhyun! Help please!" she called desperate. The other creature helped Jeno carry Jaemin into a bed of flowers inside the trunk of a tree. Not so much later, Minhyun arrived.

"HeeSook, what is the meaning of this? Why are there humans here?" asked Minhyun trying not to be angry.

"Please, Minhyun... I- I burned him" she said with tears in her eyes. Jeno was next to his best friend, looking at him with the burn marks left on his body. "He isn't waking up, Minhyun what do i do? I tried healing him with my tears but i couldn't" HeeSook explained desperate.

"HeeSook-" he was about to say, but instead took a deep breath. "You can't heal your own burns, but there's a way" Mark said. He went out of the tree for some minutes and letter returned with some plants and objects.

"Let me just do this potion, and hope it works" he said. He started preparing it in a small wood bowl. When he was finished, he applied a drop in every burn mark, and chanted a spell. Slowly, his burn marks started to disappear, except one in his arm.

"After this, not going out, you know it's dangerous! what would I do if you are caugh? humans are dangerous" said Minhyun. "I will erase both of them memories" he said.

"No wait! please, don't do it, you don't understand-" she tried to say but Minhyun cut her words.

"I'm trying to protect you, HeeSook, you're one of the few phoenixes that are left" Minhyun said, sounding a bit angry.

"I love him!" HeeSook confessed. MinHyun's and Jeno's eyes went wide. Those words were strong, and they could feel she really meant it. "I really do..." she said, scared to burn him again if she took his hand.

"You kisses him, am I right?" said Minhyun in a soft tone. HeeSook nodded. "I see, that's why he burned... When a Phoenix falls in love with someone else that isn't a phoenix, the first kiss always make's them set on fire" Mark explained. "That burn mark on his arm that didn't disappear, it's your mark, you are bonded for ever" He finished.

HeeSook's eyes went soft when she looked at him. Bonded... that meant, if one dies, the other does too.
