I grumbled as we got back on the plane for a night's rest. We'll be in Florida for about another week, but, that wasn't nearly enough time to swim, shop, eat new foods, dig for shells, swim with dolphins, meet new people.
Just as I climbed into bed, ready to get some sleep, there was a knock on my door. "Dare desu ka?" I asked.
"Ne, _______. " Natsuki voice came. "Let's play-"
There was a slap noise, and Syo called, "Sorry for bothering you, _______!"
And there was quiet again. I closed my eyes for two seconds. Then, opened them. Two hours had passed, and it was now midnight.
Unable to sleep, I climbed out of bed, and headed into the music room. There was no piano, but, there was a keyboard. So, I sat down, closed my eyes. It started off with Mozart, to Bacch, to Piyo-chan, and then, I guessed the notes to Tokiya's song, Nanairo no Compass.
E flat, e flat, e, b, a, a, g, f sharp, g, a, b, high d, high e, b, b, a, high C sharp, a, b, b. And then... What?
"And you call yourself a composer?" I heard a quiet voice taunt.
I turned, it was my senpai.
"Step aside Kohai," she said, shoving me off the bench.
(A/N: I KNOW THIS IS REALLY OFF CHARACTER FOR HARUKA, BUT I REALLY NEEDED AN ANTAGONIST!)
She played the song perfectly, I felt the envy bubble in my stomach.
She stood, a smile on her face. A very arrogant smile. "You'll never reach Ichinose-san... Iie, Tokiya's heart with that sort of skill." She said.
I frowned. "There are others in love with you other than Tokiya-san."
She smirked. "Oh, I know."
I wanted to slap her. "(CENSORED)! You're breaking their hearts!"
"And so? What's it to you?"
Oh, I see, I thought. That innocence is just a mask. Oh, I want to kill her.
"What do you think of them, the rest of STARISH?"
"Oh, I don't know..." She said, clearly bored.
"Ren-san?"
"That player baka could get anyone. I could care less about him." She said.
"Natsuki-chan?"
"He has Syo."
"Syo?"
"He's got Natsuki."
"Cecil-san?" I asked.
"He can marry a princess when he goes back to his kingdom." Haruka said, running a hand through her hair. Then, she started to count off the rest of the members with her fingers. "Masato can be good for his family business. And Otoya can go back to a regular high school and get a girl. I could careless about them. But, Tokiya... Talented, not to mention, a perfectionist, good looking, and kindly."
I glared at her. "And you're a cold hearted, mask wearing, (censored). You're-"
"I think you've hurt her enough." Another voice joined in. Tokiya, and he only heard my side of the argument. This would not help my relationship with him.
I turned back to Haruka, who was shedding fake tears. She ran to Tokiya, who welcomed her with open arms. He glared at me. "Don't you think you've said enough? Get out of here!"
I put on my strong face, and ran out of the room.
I slammed the door to my room shut, probably waking up the whole plane, but I didn't care. My heart was hurting.
I slowly fell asleep, dried tears streaking my checks.

I woke up the next morning to my iPhone beeping with a face time request. It was Rei-chan.
I answered it. "Rei-chan, you do know it's like four in the morning here." I said, yawning.
"Iya, it's not! I checked the world clock. It's seven!" He said cheerfully. "Ohayo!"
"Nya." I answered.
He smiled, his eyes softening, as if he were endeared by my answer. "Ogenki desu ka?"
My smile fell. "Iya, genki nai."
"Doushita?"
But he already knew. "Ahh... ____________-chan." He said, frowning, his eyes shining with emotion. "I wish I was there next to you. I would hug you and comfort you. Ne, _________-chan, aishiteru."
I looked to him with sincere eyes. "Gomen ne, Rei-chan... Demo... I don't know just yet."
"I know, that's why I'll keep reminding you that I'm here, that I love you. Cause, you're going to fall for me one day, ___________. You will."
He forgot the honorific... I thought.
He tried to do a flirting move on his phone's camera, but ended up dropping the phone. I laughed. He smiled.
"Oi, Reiji!" It was Ranmaru. "How long do you plan to flirt?! Let's go!"
He smiled, a sheepish, friendly, loving smile. It was his smile. "Hai, Ran-Ran." He looked to me. "Matte ne, __________. Aishiteru."
And he hung up.
It was lonely for about three seconds, before...
"Ne, _______-chan!" Natsuki called. "We're going shopping, come with us!"
"Hai," I called. "I'll catch up! You can go!"
"Okay!" Syo called in accented English.
They left, and I looked to my luggage. Time to get dressed.

Your turn: imagine yourself in Florida, hanging out with STARISH

The night came as soon as I stepped out of the last store. I looked up to the sky, and saw that I could actually see stars here. And a shooting star fell across the sky. And, well... You know exactly what I wished for.
