Jirou POV:

Today, something was different. In a good way. Today, I didn't wake up surrounded by flower petals and drowning in my own blood.

Today, when I went to brush my teeth, I didn't spit out dark purple lilies.

Today, all of my scars were gone!

No more leftovers from those vines that crept from my heart and cut up my body. I was alive! And it felt so good.

I knew that there would only be one reason all of these things had happened. Kaminari must love me back.

So I walked over to his dorm room, filled to the brim with excitement and love.

I knocked on the door.

"Kaminari?" I called out. "Can I come in please?"

No answer.

I tried the door handle... it was unlocked. Kaminari never forgot to lock his door before he went to sleep....

I slowly pushed open the door, and my gaze dropped to the floor in the middle of the room.

I screamed and broke down sobbing. I ran to Kaminari.

His body was covered in vines and thorns and purple and gold flowers. His beautiful, strong body was caked in dried blood. His gorgeous gold eyes were wide open, staring at something in the distance. His face was a mask of pain and sadness and confusion and-

I clutched my chest. It was like the Hanahaki was back. It hurt so bad.

My mind raced like it was running a marathon.

IT HURTS!

HAVEN'T I SUFFERED ENOUGH ALREADY?

WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?

WHAT DID HE DO?

JUST KILL ME ALREADY!

I spotted a stray vine that had frozen around the leg of Kaminari's bed. I yanked at it until it broke off.

Crying as I wrapped the slender and deadly branch around my neck, I heard the door open again.

I whipped around to see Shinsou standing in the doorway, tears rushing down his cheeks.

"Sorry..." I smiled.

I pulled both ends of the vine.

All I saw was black.

And then nothing.
