I watched in pure amusement as the boy in front of me eat quietly, biting onto his cherry flavoured bread. As his cheeks were full and his eyes were closed, i couldn't help but think that was the utmost cute scene i've ever seen, and Soobin looked a lot like a little bunny, despite his height.I laughed to myself by the thought, which caught his attention, as he quirked an eyebrow at my direction, finally opening his eyes.
"What are you laughing at?" he asked, but i barely couldn't comprehend due to his mouth full of bread.
"Oh nothing, it just amuses me," i shrugged, smiling teasingly "Choi Soobin, the Flower Prince, with a mouth full of bread, you know"
He swallowed slowly, his eyes not leaving mine. I kept the mocking expression, as he narrow his dark brown eyes
"I'm not a prince" Soobin answered, he seemed uneasy when avoiding my gaze "I just don't get it why people keep on calling me this"
"You're soft and polite like a prince, that's why" i folded my arms, sighing calmly "That's natural for you, it's who you are, Bin. There's nothing you can do for it to change"
"That's what you tell yourself?" he rested his chin over his hands, while looking at me, as if he could see my soul.
I swallowed hard, not quite understanding his intentions upon the topic.
"They give you a nickname upon your personality, i just don't make a fuss about it" i simply replied, sipping on my iced peach tea"And yours are not that bad, they're calling you a prince, so i don't see your point"
"But, hyung, you're nothing like a demon" he mumbled, looking down at his hands now rested on his lap "I can't understand why they'd call you this, it's so unfair"
I furrowed my eyebrows, he seemed so sad and worried about that, as if he knew that in the deep, it truly annoyed me... But how could it be? We never had this conversation before.
"Do you see me as a demon?" i watched as he lifted his head on shock.
"W-what? Of course not!" Soobin raised his voice, giving me a death glare.
"Then i don't care if they do" i stated, his tensed shoulders falling down and his frown disappearing.
I'd be lying if i say i didn't was taken back by his behavior, if anything, Soobin looked like a moment away from murdering someone if given the chance, and out of nowhere, he returned to his bright self again. It was as if he was truly troubled about the idea of me thinking he would see me as anything like my school nickname.
The boy's eyes glistened when we stared at each other, with a content smile plastered on his plump lips.
"About the blue part, even i can't deny it" he chuckled, getting me to do the same, lighting up the mood "It's so cool"
"Do you wanna touch it?" i said, and blushed as soon as i realized how weird that must've sounded "A-ah, i mean-"
"Yes!" Soobin chimed, raising his left hand over my hair.
He patted my head, and took some strands with his long fingers, as giggling to himself. He was undeniably having a blast.
I wasn't able to think straight with such a proximity, i could even sense his white rose scent, which had a memorable smell, making me smile to myself.
"It's as soft as i thought" he commented, coming to his senses not much after, widening his eyes "Y-you know, it looked so touchable from afar, i-i was curious about the texture as well"
It wasn't much of a 'Yeonjun thing' to do so, but i couldn't stop myself from messing with him only to see how flustered Soobin could get. Not like i was playing with his emotions or anything, but the way his face got all red by only some few words, amazed me the most, and not to mention, it was truly adorable.
"It's ok, you can touch it whenever you please" i grinned, and he became beet red by hearing the words i just said "You have my permission, baby"
A nervous laugh escaped his throat, and he pushed back his hand, trying hard not to let me see how violently he was blushing.
Soobin nodded, and soon after that i pay the check (of course, with his mumblings following me all the way around, about him being the one who should've paid for the food again) and we left the tea house.
He glanced over the place one more time before we walked our way off there, and his eyes showed happiness, a heartfelt happiness i wish i could be able to see anytime i'd open my eyes to meet him.
"Soobin?" i called him, and he hummed in response "What are you looking at?"
"It's just," he licked his reddish lips, before locking his eyes on mine and proceeding "i want to remember it"
I felt blood rushing to my cheeks, and gulped nervously, unable to look anywhere else but his dark brown eyes, and i could swear he hid an entire galaxy inside of them.
"The night's not over yet, you know?" i grinned, taking his hands on mine "We can still make lots of memories for you to remember, Soobin-ah"
His face lightened up, and i knew the moment we interlocked our fingers again, that the boy in front of me wasn't just some average boy i went on a date with... He was the boy who i was fallen helplessly for.
