"u-um, mitsuri-chan?" you stammered anxiously. you see, you were a little nervous right now. mitsuri was a expert in everything romance, sounds cheesy and weird but she honestly just loves love. she's kind of a matchmaker as well, so you thought it would be a good idea to confront her about something that's recently been happening to you and messing with you that you think might be linked to romance. "hm!?" she answered enthusiastically, smiling, indicating she was happy right now. it was probably because she loved talking to people, especially you because you're her best friend. ever since she became a member of the demon slayer corps, you two were pretty much inseperable. "since you're the love pillar, i was wondering if you could give me any advice..." you admitted, still scared and a little embarrassed to tell someone about a person you might have feelings for, especially because they are the same gender as you. that person is shinobu. shinobu kocho, the insect pillar of the demon slayer corps. although, you don't really know whether it's a crush or not, you assume it is, because of how you would always feel thinking about her or being around her. you would get nervous, like, your heart would immediately start beating faster, your chest would feel tight, your cheeks would heat up, your palms would get sweaty and you wouldn't be able to stop staring at her.

"of course! anything for my best friend!" she exclaims, smiling widely and hugging you. she loved having you as one of her close friends and she loved conversating with you. "so, what do you need advice on?" you were afraid to tell her about your crush on shinobu, because you think she might not accept you, but you really need advice, and she's the best person you can think of for it. "w-well, i think i have a crush on someone, but i'm not sure." "wow! who is it!?" she squealed, fangirling a little. you knew that she would probably freak out about you having a crush, considering she's the matchmaker and love pillar of the demon slayer corps. "calm down, mitsuri-chan!" you whisper-yelled, not wanting anyone but her to hear and know about this. "oopsies, sorry, y/n-chan.." she giggled, feeling a bit embarrassed and guilty, lightly rubbing the back of her neck. "w-w-well, it's u-um k-kocho-san...but like i said i-i'm not sure, i might just want to be friends with her or something! so don't be m-mad p-plea-" you stuttered, the feeling that she wouldn't accept you coming back again. you couldn't believe you were doing this, but she cut you off before you could even finish your sentence.

"why would i be mad at you?" she asked curiously, genuinely not understanding. sure, she was straight and wanted a husband more than anything, but she was beyond supportive of people that were attracted to the same gender. your eyes widened before answering, "b-because i might have a crush on a girl..." you muttered, very surprised she's not actually angry or anything. "so? it doesn't matter, love is love, you know that right?" she asked seriously, not smiling or giggling anymore. "yes, i-its just some people don't believe that....a-anyways, um, i think i have a crush on her because whenever i'm around her...o-or whenever i think about her, w-which i do a lot, i feel nervous and lovesick...i'm asking for advice because i've never felt like this before and i don't know what to do about it...i'm sorry if i'm being a bother.." you said quietly. "you're not being a bother at all! i'm happy to help you! and, well, i think you do like her! most of the time when a person feels like that around another person, it ends up being a crush or maybe even love! i think you should confess to her, y/n-chan!" you looked and sounded quite surprised. you weren't really expecting her to say that, but thinking back on it now you should have. "w-w-what?!" "i said you should confess to her! didn't you hear me, y/n-chan?!" she exclaimed before continuing, and saying, "you two would be so cute together! and even if she rejects you, i don't think she would hate you or anything like that! believe me!" she grins, clapping her hands together. you know you can trust her. she's reliable and never lies. so, you gave in. "f-fine, but you have to come with me." "okay! i don't mind!" she smiled at you, before grabbing both of your hands and squeezing them lightly, letting you know that she appreciates you and will always be at your side no matter what. she then grabbed your wrist gently, got up and began running to where shinobu was at the time, dragging you with her happily. looks like she's back to normal now.

"moshi moshi?" shinobu questioned in a sing song voice, her adorable, feminine voice making your cheeks heat up and turn pink. "y/n-chan wants to tell you something!" mitsuri squeaks. shinobu got up from the garden she was collecting plants from, and began walking over to you and mitsuri. she was now standing in front of the both of you but only looking at you, not the girl beside you, patiently. "yes?" your face immediately went red as you tried to look back at her, but it was hard because of how scared you were. 'this is it...' you thought to yourself, before deciding to finally say something. "i-i likeyouandiunderstandifyoudontfeelthesameandhatemeijustwantedtotellyouimso-" she cut you off by placing her soft lips on yours, kissing you. you immediately reacted to this, your scarlet face went even darker, your heart felt like it was going to burst out of your chest but you smiled widely and melted into the kiss. when she pulled away a few seconds later, she smirked at you, a small giggle ecsaping her lips. "it's okay, i like you too." you gasped and your eyes widened. you were shocked. you thought that she would think that you're gross or weird. but she didn't. she felt the same. you felt as if you were being dense though. i mean, she did just kiss you. why would she kiss you if the feeling wasn't mutual? "r-really?" you asked a bit timidly. "yes, calm down. or i'll calm you down myself." she teases. your face flushed. "w-what is that supposed to mean!? and-" you looked behind you, noticing that your best friend was gone. you only checked because you thought since you two were kissing, she would fangirl and make lots of noises but it was oddly quiet. "WHERE DID MITSURI GO?!" you yelled, panicking slightly but calming back down when shinobu chuckled. she was so cute. "right when you started confessing she left." she stated, finally acting a little serious. "WHAT!? MITSURI COME BACK, I SWEAR! I ONLY DID THIS BECAUSE OF YOU!" you screamed furiously. what you said was true. you were going to just keep your admiration for shinobu to yourself, but you didn't want to upset mitsuri and she was probably just going to force you to anyways. but in the end, it was all worth it and you felt happy. after all, if you didn't tell shinobu none of this would've happened. she wouldn't have kissed you or told you that she reciprocated your feelings. but still, you couldn't believe that mitsuri would just leave you in a moment like that. you hoped that she knew that you were going to hate her after this. "isn't it good that she left? we can be alone now." you blushed.
