Lucas' POV

School already started 2 months ago and our graduation is now a week away. I can't believe I haven't done anything stupid this year! Hell, even the teachers are impressed by that and they see me getting serious on my studies. I mean, I'm Wong Yukhei people! Who do you think I am?

"A brat that is hard to babysit. Why are you even talking to yourself?" Maddie sat down beside me and looked at me weirdly. I smiled and instantly hugged her, she hugged me back but still confused.

"Thank you for taking care of me, Maddie-noona! Without you, I think my year would be the worst just like those other years." I pulled away and finally saw her smile. I should give credits :)

"It's fine, xuxi. I'm surprised that you changed a lot; is it because of Xiaojun, hmm?" she teased as she pinched my sides. I flinched and complained about it but she just chuckled.

"Yeah, in some parts. I noticed that he's being distant to me lately, it happened before but why does this one seemed he's serious about it? I don't want that to happen, Maddie! What do you think I should do?" I pouted and she thought for a while.

"You're in a relationship with him, right? Both of you must've been on an argument, what's the case?" She asked which made me to realize what she just said.

"Um... I'm not sure if we're dating, like we don't have a label yet but no argument happened." I confessed, she looked at me with an unsure look.

"You kiss and make up but still no label? What kind of fuckery-"

"Please help me! I'm begging you!" I whined. I can't handle Xiaojun being away from me anymore!

"I may not know his reason but whatever it is, I think you should ask him out for a date. Your relationship I still an unsolved case so why not make the first move? You top anyways." I chuckled at the last one.

"And when you feel like he's getting comfortable, ask him the reason why he's being distant with you. Don't buy such lame excuses alright? Then confess your undying love for him and in no time, he will confess his undying love for you too." She added with a smirk.

"Its cliché, I know but this is your only chance. Your graduation's near so you better make a move." I smiled and thanked her many times. I even kissed her forehead which made her disgusted.

"Eww! Yeah I get it, I'm the best. Get off me!" we both laughed at our antics.

"But what about you? You're registered here as a student, so you're graduating with us?"

"Nah, your parents and the principal talked about it. I'll just attend your graduation." She smiled and then suddenly I remembered someone.

"Say, where's the little one? Danielle Angelo? You've got to be joking if you say he's literally your son." I deadpanned which caused her to laugh again but died after as it looked like she remembered a sad memory.

"Zach and I found him getting beated by his own father. The mother passed away because she killed herself, it's either because of her husband mistreats her or she can't really handle her life anymore. We tried to stop the father but he punches Zach which caused them both to fight while I comforted Dan from crying. From Zach's built body, the father was a total knockdown. Later on, we filed a case against Dan's father and that asshole's arrested for 10 years due to some of his extra cases also. The reason why me and Zach are always together is that we're deciding on what will we do to Dan. Basically, we've become his temporary parents. Remember at the hospital? He called me 'eomma'." Maddie explained the whole thing which made my jaw drop.

"But why didn't Dan react when Zach was there?" I asked

"From a glimpse, I saw Zach winked at Dan which means from the child's perspective, 'to play along'. So he stayed silent about it."
