Ch. 5: Triple date

Denki's POV

So currently it's 1 pm and there's still a good six hours until the date tonight. Hito fell asleep again, not that surprising though, that boy never gets enough sleep. I do plan on waking him up for lunch in a bit, but I don't know what to have for lunch. Maybe I could take him out so we get some alone time together. Maybe the new cat cafe that just opened up down the street would be nice. Ya, I'll do that, now I just have to wake him up... that's gonna be hard considering Misty is laying on top of him and I don't want to disturb her. I gently pick up Misty and place her aside on the bed hoping she doesn't wake up and gently shake Hito to attempt to wake him up. After a few minutes he finally got up and I told him to get dressed. 

"For what the date is *looks at the time on his phone* not for like another six hours"

"Well, since there are more couples coming and I know you wanted to go out just you and me I decided to go out just the two of us"

"Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise *wink*"

"Uhm ok..."

"Babe just be ready in a half-hour"

"Mmm ok" 

~~~~~TIME SKIP~~~~~

"Babe you ready!" I called out

"uh ya just let me get my shoes and wallet And I should be ready to go anytime"

"ok" I already had my shoes on and I grabbed my wallet from the nightstand and walked over to the door of the dorm building and waited for Hito there. After a couple of minutes, he arrives at the door of the building and we walk out hand in hand. as we approach the street it's on I tell him to close his eyes.

"Denki, babe I'm sorry but I don't trust you to guide me safely to wherever we're going with my eyes closed"

"Please just trust me, it's not that far from here and I want it to be a surprise for you, please baby" I look him in the eye with my best puppy eyes.

"You're gonna kill me one day with that face *sigh* alright fine but if I bump into something it's all your fault and I'm not letting you do this again"

"YAY! thank you! trust me you won't regret it!"

"I already do" the moment he closes his eyes I dashed down the sidewalk, still, with his hand in mine. Once we get there I make a sudden stop and he bumps into me almost making us fall.  

"Can I open my eyes now," he says in his normal monotone voice.

"Yes," I say excitedly. He opens his eyes and once his brain processes where we are his eyes go completely wide. 

"Babe...."

"Hm?"

"I- OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS"

"Yes of course" I laugh. We walk inside with our hands tangled together, he just looks around in complete amazement as we walk to the counter to order food. Hitoshi orders a latte, I order a tea and we both get a muffin and small tea sandwiches on the side to share after we sit down and talk for a bit and eat, after about a few minutes a small black and white kitten comes up to us and jumps on Hito's lap and just sits there, then a small orange cat leaps onto my lap and I let out a small giggle and Hito just looks at me and smiles. I watch him pet the cat as we continue our conversation. It's really cute watching him smile and enjoy himself.

After an hour we finally decided to leave. As we are walking down the sidewalk to get to the dorms I notice something on his wrist, I'm not sure what it is so I just shake it off and decide I'll ask about it later after the date. When we get back to the dorms we decide to go to our respective rooms and get ready for the date that's in like four hours. I text everyone what to wear when to meet us, and where to meet us. I decided to take a shower before getting dressed, but while I was in the shower I couldn't shake the thought of what I saw on my boyfriend's wrist. It was a line, a red line, I'm hoping it's a marker and not... well you know... it looks relatively new too so I can't really think of a time when he would have time to do something like that, plus he's taking therapy every Friday night and I'm with him like 24/7 due to Aizawa-sensei's request after the incident that happened not too long ago. But now that I think about it there are times where he's in the bathroom or in his room for a while and won't explain what's going on and when he does decide to finally come out he seems different, I guess I never really noticed too much until now. Anyways, I get out of the shower and start to get dressed. After I get dressed I do my hair and go back into the room where I find Hito laying on the bed all dressed up and on his phone. I smile but then remember the thing I saw earlier on his wrist so I decide to ask about it now. 

"Um hey, babe..." I said shaking.

"Hm?" he looks up at me from his phone.

"While we were walking back to the dorms from the cafe I noticed something on your left wrist... I was just wondering if you started cutting again," I say with tears threatening to come out.

"Umm, I-" he puts his phone down, gets up and walks over to me. He looked down up until the point when he reached me. "I uhm ya, but it's no big deal"

"HITOSHI THIS IS A BIG DEAL... you've been clean for so long, what happened why can't you just talk to me?" I ask with tears spilling out of my eyes. He looks at me worried knowing that I'm in pain just by knowing he started cutting again and won't tell me what's wrong. He hugs me tightly and starts whispering in my ear but I can't tell what he's saying due to me just crying. 

Hitoshi's POV

 I hold him close to me, somehow I feel like this is all my fault but I know if I tell him that he'd tell me it's not and just break down more. All it took was one visible cut on the wrist to break him (yes there are more that are being covered up by my sleeve but I'm not gonna tell him that). I hold him closer telling him that it's ok and that he's not to blame, but of course, he doesn't listen to me. I place his ear over my heart so he can listen to my heartbeat, whenever he breaks down like this I do that because he finds it soothing I guess. After a good five minutes things start to get better, he stops crying and I explain why I did it and I made a promise to tell him whenever something happens so we can talk about it. For the rest of the time, we cuddled in the bed until it was time to leave for the date. All of the couples that are going on the date meeting in the common room at 6:30 pm. We agree to meet up at the restaurant at 6:45 for the 7:00 reservation. We all head out in our own separate cars. One we get there we wait for the others. Denki and I got there first, then Todoroki and Midoriya, then finally Bakugou and Kirishima were last. I lead them all into the restaurant and walk up to the desk and mention the reservation and the woman leads us to a table for 6. When we sit down the waiter asks us what drinks we want and we all order some kind of tea except Bakugou and Kirishima who just order water for themselves. After looking through the menu everyone orders their food and so we're left talking. Not even five minutes have past and bakugou looks like he's on the verge of killing Denki mostly because he's acting stupid again, Midoriya is talking to himself, Todoroki just looks done, Kirishima is holding Bakugou back, and I'm just hoping we don't attract too much attention.

After we were all done with the dinner Todoroki insisted on paying the bill and we all headed out to go back to the dorms. It's been a long day and I'm just glad it's over. when we get back to the dorms the rest of class 1A looks at us and starts asking us where we went (us as in all of the couples who went on that date). Bakugou just ignored them and dragged Kirishima to his room, Todoroki and Midoriya stayed around to talk to people before going back to Todoroki's room and Denki and I went back to our room to cuddle and talk some more.
