You woke up in the middle of the night. Heart heavy and tears pooling in your eyes. You looked over at Sam who was sleeping peacefully next to you, unaware of what was going on. Tears started to fall now as you grabbed Sam's arm, gentle so you didn't wake him. You snuggled underneath it before letting it fell around your waist. Your gripped the fabrics of his shirt, burying your face in his chest. You sniffled quietly, trying to keep your breathing even.

"Baby?" He whispered, waking up from the movements. His arm tightened around your waist, snuggling his head back into the pillow to go back to sleep when he realized you were crying. He lifted his head up, moving the arm that was around your waist to lift your head up from it's hiding spot against his chest. There wasn't much light in the room, just the soft red glow from the salt lamp o the dresser.

"What's wrong?" He asked, wiping the tears from your face.

"Nothing. It was just a stupid dream." You whispered.

"It's not stupid, baby." He moved to sit up against the headboard. He motioned for you to snuggle in. He waited until you stopped moving, finally in a comfortable position, before wrapping his arms back around you. "Tell me what happened."

"He stayed silent, running his fingers through your hair as you told him about the dream. You guys had a fight that you couldn't remember the reasoning for, but Sam had left. He broke up with you, telling you he didn't love you anymore, and walked out the door.

"It felt real when i woke up. I just wanted to make sure you were still here." You said, explaining why he had woke up to you so close to him.

"It's not real, my love. I'm still here and i still love you with every fiber of my being." He kissed the top of your head, holding you a little tighter than before.

"Promise me you'll stay." Your voice broke causing a pain in Sam's chest.

"Always. I'm not going anywhere, i promise."
