"Martin, you have one job. I expect you to reach chapter 50, by tomorrow."

"What the fuck?! I just started, I can't write that much material in one day. That would take months to accomplish!"

"Don't care, get it done", said Jaylen.

"I hope your line of ancestry vanishes faster than your hairline continues to recede", Martin says.

"Fine then, don't write 50 chapters today and see what happens Martin."

Fucking coon, I swear. How can he expect me to write 50 chapters in one day when he couldn't even stop his hairline returning from the 100 yard line at only 18 years old?

"Jay, when are you going to read my fights", said Kareem.

"Nigga, I've read 20 of your fights and none if them were interesting."

"Those were only paragraph summaries of the fights, Jay!" Kareem slammed his fist on the table

"Kareem, Kieth, whatever the fuck you're called. I'm tired of all of these fights and the white, ok?"

"Jay, then just drop my story, please."

"No. I need to read it till the end."

"No, just drop my story bro. I can't accept your take on it, you're reminding me of Alpha. All you do is bitch and complain."

Suddenly there was a yell from the other side of the room.

"Jay...jay!"

"What Alpha?!"

"I just wrote a story, will you read it?"

"No. I can already tell from the title that its gay, if you write another story I'll fire you on the spot."

He turned back to Kareem and continued their conversation.

"I'm not going to stop reading your story and giving critiques, ok? Deal with it."

"Jay, I can't deal with it, ok? Look, I'm still working on my mixtape and you're only adding unnecessary stress to my life and my project as a result."

"Nigga, you've been working on that mixtape for as long as Bisky has been alive, don't give me that shit. Since you don't want to write your story, I'll give you two options:
1. You write your story or get fired
2. You help Martin with his shit by critiquing him since I have my hands full."

"With Yaw's dick?", Kareem asked in a whisper.

"What was that? Don't make me turn you from purple into black, or else you'll really be struggling nigga."

"You read a chapter that had less than 2k words and you still said you were tired of fights, there was only a paragraph of a fight summary!"

Once again, Alpha shouted from the corner of the room:

"Somebody read my story!"

"Shut up, you fat bitch! Me and Jay are still talking. Anyway, fine Jay, I'll work with Martin."

"Nah. I take it back, too many fights are going to happen. You don't have to work with Martin, just get my chapter done by the end of this week."

"How in the hell do you expect me to write so many chapters in one day?!"

"Well, Martin. The truth is, I don't. I'm just trying to gauge how far you can go in the literary world and how much potential you have, which I know you must have some if you've come here with the best writer in Hawk Jump, Yaw."

"Ahem...African Origins."

"Yaw, no. The name will remain Hawk Jump until I'm no longer on this earth, do you understand?"
