When I woke in the morning I didnt know what to think... Lucas ended up sleeping on the floor and well me? I stayed up most of the night tossing and turning, I didnt know what to make of us and things only got weirder.

"So are we going to talk about last night?" I asked. "We cant tell anyone what happened last night," I blurted. Way to be subtle.

Lucas leaned against the bathroom door his eyes taunting me, "Why not?"

I was caught off guard with his question for one I thought he'd want it that way, "Well because," I didnt have a good enough explanation. "We dont even know whats going on between us and until we do I dont think anyone should know," I said at last.

Lucas stepped forward towering over me, "I think you know exactly what's happening here," he grinned.

I stepped back and folded my arms over my chest regretting the plunging neckline I chose to wear, "No I actually dont," why must he be so frustrating? "You are a player," I reminded him unable to look him in the eyes. "What if this is just a weird little fantasy of yours you are just playing out?"

He put a hand to his heart and made a sad face, "That hurts Mar, you think so low of me. Ive had months and months to think this over, I've spent days watching you fawn over some Scottish boy I mean I couldn't even compete with the guy, he's Scottish!" I caved by smiling slightly, inviting him back into my personal space but this time I didn't back away. "We can test the waters if you want but I won't feel comfortable until everyone knows we are together, thats what I want," he licked his lips, "I want you."

Our lips inches apart I said, "We aren't together not yet," I reminded him. "You must swoon me," I said walking away to gather my bags trying to distract myself from his lips, eyes, body everything about him was too distracting. "I'm not just one of your little play things or a fling. I want to do this right."

"You want to go on dates?" He scrunched his nose helping me with the bags.

"Yes actually," I turned to smile up at him as he looked down at me amused, "And you'll plan them."

"You dont think I know how to plan a date?"

I sighed, "I just want to be transparent with each other yeah we know how to have a good time but do our lives line up? Can you keep up with me?" I kept babbling.

"I know you like the back of my hand of course I can keep up," he scuffed.

I shook my head silly boy, "Ive changed and so have you."

"Yeah and apparently everything between us," he teased as we left the small motel room and headed over to the shop. "Fine I'll bait, I will plan the most extravagant date you will ever be on."

"You think so?" I blushed thankful he was walking behind me.

"If I succeed then we are official?"

"I dont think it works like that," I bristled. Ive done a lot of dreaming about being with Lucas but not enough thinking about what I'd actually do if he shared the same feelings as me. It was still crazy really, I didnt notice not until the last minute and even then I denied it. "Five dates, thats how long I'm suspended," I said finally coming with a plan. I wanted to do this right, I knew Lucas and if things got to be to much he'd push me away, something I knew well. I want him to see the good the bad and the ugly and if he can accept that, he could love me the way I need and crave. "They dont need to be extravagant I just need time with you to just talk about us. Yes we live together we grew up together but we've never been together, do you understand?"

I know not all people love just once but the idea was exciting, one love forever to make countless memories with. Lucas caught up to me as we crossed the road, "Do you not think I can pull this off?"
