Donghyuck hated being an idol. He hated the diets. He hated the rude comments. He hated the way management would mistreat his members. He hated the way he was left behind while everyone else went forward. He hated that each day was getting harder and harder. He hated that he was getting no sleep from his conflicting schedules. He hated it. He hated everything.

Donghyuck stared out the window, watching the world around him fly past him. It was around 2:30 in the morning and he was coming back from a schedule with 127 to go back to the Dream dorm. He was tired but everything outside the car seemed as lively as ever. There was traffic speeding down the other lane and he could see the streets of Seoul crowded by people enjoying their lives.

He longed for the life of privacy and simplicity he left behind. He wanted to go back with his mom and his siblings. He wanted to see all his old friends. He wanted to go back to a time where he enjoyed singing and dancing. He wanted to go back to a time where he was happier.

"Haechan, we're here,"

Donghyuck hated that name. He inwardly cringed as he grabbed his bag and slipped out of the car and into the apartment building, leaving his manager behind.

Opening the door to the Dream dorm shouldn't have been stressful. He knew that everyone inside was asleep and they wouldn't have cared if he was there anyways. Jisung insisted they didn't miss him when he was gone and no one ever put up an argument.

Donghyuck sighed to himself, letting his bag slip off his shoulder and land quietly on the floor. He walked over to the couch and collapsed on it, staring up at the dark ceiling. The dorm was silent except for the faint sound of the fan in Jeno's room.

He didn't know what came over him. Maybe it was stress, maybe it was the build up of the emotions he tried to keep locked up in the very back corner of his mind but he couldn't help the tears that started falling.

His chest seized as he cried silently, not getting enough air. He covered his face with his sleeves of his sweater to muffle the sound of his sniffles and gasps for air. His eyes hurt from squeezing them so tightly, trying to get the tears to stop.

After one painful gasp of air, he heard a door from the hallway and he fell silent. He turned over so his face was hidden away from the person who should be asleep. Unfortunately, he couldn't stop his tears and shaking of his body. He hoped the room was too dark for them to notice.

He bit the inside of his cheek as he felt a tear go down his neck. He heard the footsteps come near him before the couch was dipping where Donghyuck's legs curved.

"Donghyuck?" Jeno's voice was rough and filled with sleep but it didn't stop it from coming out softly.

Donghyuck couldn't help but gasp for another breath of air followed by a sniffle. He cursed himself mentally as he felt Jeno's hand on his shoulder.

"Oh Hyuckie, come here."

Maybe it was the gentle tone of Jeno's voice or maybe it was the fact that Donghyuck hasn't had any physical contact in the last week but he instantly surrendered and found himself tucked into Jeno's arms as he sobbed.

He felt Jeno's hand carding through his hair while the other one made small circles on his back. He could feel the weight of Jeno's head leaning against his as he shook, hands grasping the sleeves of Jeno's shirt.

"It'll be okay, we'll get through it," Jeno whispered quietly and for once, Donghyuck wanted to believe that it would be.
