Sneaking into a very heavily guarded Coronation was something Louis thought he'd never do. He felt alive but he also felt as if everything were a dream.Liam on the other hand was just about dying. His pulse racing, body sweating. To help conceal them, of course he made Louis purchase a lengthy throw-over fur coat to match is gown. As promised he would allow Louis to take it off at the party later that night since he would be wearing a mask. No one would know who he really was. Better to draw attention later where he could be hidden in the shadows of others than at a Coronation.
Louis was shaking in his seat, far in the back of course. He couldn't wait to see the kingdom glow and fill with the energy he hears so much about. As promised, he hasn't spoken a word, which Liam knows must be incredibly hard for him but he's so content, looking at every inch of the castle in awe. It was quite cute to be honest. Seeing Louis' reaction of this and the town bustling about was worth Liam possibly losing his head at the King's hand. Only if they were to get caught.
The two partners in crime had a talk when Louis was taken to try Spanish food for the first time. They knew they could never go back, which is why Louis brought more money than needed for just a five day trip. He claimed to be content working as a village woman selling bread or goats to whomever offered the best price. He obviously has no idea how Spain truly functioned, but he showed no interest in leaving and going on to another nation. Liam would tell him eventually, but he didn't want to ruin his first moment of freedom. Not that he would believe him anyway.
But besides that, Liam was fine staying in Spain as well. He had more family there, and he could be himself in one of the most accepting nation's of same sex couples. Alphas and Omegas not being specific genders, just some are more common than others.
Just as Liam was about to whisper to Louis about one last important thing he needed to tell him before forgetting, in walked the future King through the double doors. Louis strained his neck to look over the crowd as everyone cheered chanting his name, Harry.
"Harry," Louis whispered and smiled at the name. It was cute.
All he could see was the long curly hair, tall stature, strong shoulders and physical build. He immediately peaked interest in this mystery King, but he had yet to see his face.
His walk was so smooth, he demanded and captured everyone's attention. It made Louis lick his lips.
As the ceremony went on, the Prince with his back to the crowd on his knees, the Queen took her sword and spoke her beautiful language with a graceful tongue while tapping each side of his shoulders with the blade. Then finally, right above his head. It was hard for Louis to see from so far away, but out of nowhere Liam gasped, pulled Louis down and cursed.
The Royals' eyes flashed red as they bit their wrists and sacrificed their blood into bowl over a burning flame. Harry was the last and with that, he drank the blood of his family and ancestors. That was not so traditional in a coronation the world was accustomed to.
"Liam!" Louis hissed and rubbed his arm that Liam so kindly yanked.
"What was that for?"
"My apologies, Louis," they whispered and sat back up.
A few more words were exchanged and then everyone suddenly shouted. Harry Styles being announced the King of Spain.
Louis smiled loving every second of the ceremony... from what he could see of course. He watched at the Queen smiled joyously as she held the hand of the new King above their head, arms stretched out wide. Once again, the King's face being blocked by someones bald head.
