Zhu's POV:
I'm sitting propped in a tree as I watch the different clans walk by, making their way to the night hunt. I honestly, don't agree with some of the methods clans use to win over the lower ranking clans. So I'm here to pay a surprise visit while they're in initiation. Once they finished passing and I knew it was safe to leave my spot, I clutched my sword Xuè, and jumped to the ground, quickly ducking through the trees. I make my way to the night hunt area, and start destroying all the nets that were put up. As I'm making my way to the last net I hear people approaching from the distance , I quickly jump up into a tree so I'm not detected. "Hey look another destroyed net," A young man shouts. "We should tell Young Master Jin Zixun," Another young man spoke with urgency. They both look at each other before nodding and running off. Once they left I jumped out of the tree I was in and go to find the last net. After destroying it, I quietly walk through the trees before I heard voices arguing in the distance. I steadily walk towards the voices before, I duct behind some bushes looking down at the group of people that gathered on the trail below me. The two boys fighting are none other than Jin Zixun and Wei Wuxian. I closely listen in on Jin Zixun yelling at Wei Wuxian over the destroyed nets. I notice Wuxian start shaking and lifting up his flute, not good.I quickly throw my other sword Ryuu in front of Jin Zixun, and jump in front of Wuxian pointing Xuè at Jin Zixun. "Back off Jin Zixun, they did nothing wrong. Wuxian concentrate and calm down, a rat like him isn't worth it." I sternly state to the boys. "Who the hell are you?" Jin Zixun asking coming closer. I grabbed Ryuu holding the blade to his throat, while the tip of Xuè was resting over his heart. "Come any closer and I'll kill you," I seethed through gritted teeth. Jin Zixun chuckled and looked at me amused. "You really think you can kill me with all my people and everyone else here?" "If I release my other weapon I could kill everyone here," I chuckled at Jin Zixun. "You're really crazy aren't you?" Zixun laughed taking a step closer to me. I pressed my swords slightly harder onto him. "Don't make me kill you Zixun," I warned glaring at him. "Wuxian get Yanli out of here. Lan Wangji go with them please," I stated glancing at them. The both nod at me before taking Yanli and heading towards the main meeting area. Before they could leave Zixun's disciples drew their swords and surrounded us. I glared at Zixun before lowering my weapons and taking a step back. "Tell them to stand down Zixun, I don't want to hurt anyone." I state as my hand starts shaking and Xuè starts to rise. "Are you really going to make another mistake and try to kill me?" Zixun asked with a smug look on his face. "I don't want to," I mumbled looking into the distance. I noticed Jin Guangyao and Lan Xichen approaching with disciples. "What's going on here, why are all you gathered here friends?" Jin Guangyao questioned looking at everyone. His gaze then fell upon me, and he carefully approached me. "Who are you and why is your sword pointed at Zixun?" He asked cautiously. Before I could answer Lan Xichen spoke. "Zhu that's here name, she's the person I told you about that found me before you did." Xichen spoke before gazing at me. I glanced at him before hearing someone approaching me from behind. I quickly flipped backwards landing behind them. I held Xuè to their back before I realized it was Wuxian. I dropped Xuè and stood their starting at the ground. "Are you okay Zhu?" Both Wuxian and Xichen asked quickly. "Am I ever okay?" I spat out like venom. Wuxian came over to me and went to pick up Xuè. "Don't touch it!" I yelled quickly before kneeling down and picking up Xuè. I put Xuè back in its sleeve and put it on my back with Ryuu. "Wuxian you need to leave with Yanli and Wangji. I'll stay here and finish dealing with things." I said softly before walking back over to Zixun. I glanced back to see them leaving back to the main area. "Zixun, I'm the one that destroyed the nets. If there's going to be a night hunt it needs to be down fairly, and having all these nets leaves other clans with basically nothing." I spoke sternly starring at Zixun. "So how are you going to pay for them?" Zixun countered. "I'm not, no one is." I seethed before Zixun kicked me in the gut throwing me back. "I guess I'll just have to beat you then." Zixun chuckled walking over to me. I glared up at him right before he started repeatedly kicking me in the side. Guangyao finally stepped in and pulled Zixun away. He looked at me before glancing at Xichen with a pained expression. "Are you okay Zhu?" Guangyao questioned with worry. I simply nodded before coughing up all the blood I was trying to hold in. Before I knew it Xichen was by my side holding my wrist. "You're coming back with me," He spoke quickly picking me up and walking back towards the main area. The walk was silent until we got back to the main area and Wuxian noticed me. He came running over and started bombarding Xichen and I with questions. "Are you okay? What happened to Zhu? Why is she like this? Who did this to her?" I was about to answer before I coughed up more blood, and the whole world started spinning. I looked around seeing that Xichen and Wuxian were calling my name but I couldn't here anything over the ringing in my ears. I looked at Xichen one last time with pleading eyes, before my eyes closed and everything was black.
