"So, get together in groups of nine and then each team will draw a piece of paper with their topic on!", my theater teacher stated happily, shaking the little box - filled with differently colored papers - in his hands.

my gaze immediately met minho's and jeongin's; we have been best friends since our first day in middle school. we all grinned at each other knowingly before i got up from my chair and hurried over to them to signalize my teacher that we were a team.

since our team had to consist of nine people, i started looking around for others to join us. chan was always quite nice so maybe he could- ah no, he had just moved his chair next to felix' and seungmin's. but they could all join us, right?

after students switching groups here and there my group consisted of minho and jeongin of course as well as chan, felix, seungmin, changbin and jisung. the other group consisted of ten giggling girls, wanting to stay together.

"Come on, girls! One of you has to switch groups, they won't bite you!", my teacher urged impatiently.
"well not unless you don't want us to, of course.", chan stated, a smirk appearing on his face as some of the girls blushed deeply and giggled even more.

but still: no one made an effort to switch groups, i couldn't help but sigh. the girls at my school.. they all seemed to be the same. the same straightened long hair, the same annoying giggles...
that's why i liked boys more.
for example minho.

"Ugh, y'all are pussies.", a girl suddenly spoke up, walking over to our group and sitting down between minho and seungmin.
she seemed a bit cooler now but what put me off was that minho immediately improved his posture, flashing his most charming smile at the girl.
"thanks, yeri!", he said while the girl nodded and smiled back at him.
"anything for you. besides i was getting sick of nothing happening around here. working with you will be so much cooler!" - wait they knew each other?

"be careful with your language next time, yeah ms. park?", our teacher said while walking up to us with the box of topics, "so who will be your lucky drawing fairy today?"
"well, ladies first, especially pretty ones.", minho said, gesturing yeri to reach for the box, which she did while grinning and blushing softly.

"quit the flirting and let's get down to business!", jisung interrupted, watching closely as yeri pulled out a blue paper and opened it, giggling shortly after.

she read it out loud: "highschool love story!"

everyone growled or squeaked in excitement while already discussing ideas on how to bring that concept to life while i felt my alarm clocks ringing: a love story. could minho and i maybe-?

"Well since there's only one girl in your team: congrats Yeri, I guess you're the female protagonist now!", my teacher stated happily before walking away, crushing my imagination.
before i could even process what that meant seungmin asked who'd want to be the male lead then. minho's hand immediately shot up and without thinking i raised mine only half a second later.
i just couldn't let them pair up for this.

"so do we vote or-..?", felix trailed off, getting interrupted by jeongin tugging on my arm.
"no! let's just take minho i mean no offense hyung, your visuals would definitely be more than enough for this role i mean you're so gorgeous and pretty and-.. yeah bUt we all know how good you are as a cameraman so we shouldn't waste your skills!"
jeongin beamed up at me, receiving only a glare from me. he was adorable so i couldn't be fully mad at him but his comment had definitely destroyed my plan.

"ahh, yes." "mhm." "i think so too.", everone seemed to agree with jeongin and nodded their head.
i sighed quietly, submitting to my role as a cameraman, playing with my lavender sweater paws and trying to ignore how dreamily yeri and minho stared at each other.
