It's been two weeks since we told the family about the impending arrival of our baby girl. Since then we have been trying to hang low when it comes to my family. Spending most days at fairfield and nights at Quinns place. I've been able to get in and out of Heartland to grab clothes when needed without being spotted and stopped by my nosey family. It's been a long week of work and planning, Quinn is finally home from work and I'm relaxing on the couch shopping for all that we need for our daughter's arrival.

Quinn sits next to me and wraps his hand around my back resting his hand on my stomach. It has gotten to the point where anyone who looks at me immediately knows that I am pregnant, not just like I gained my freshman 15. I scroll through the Buy Buy Baby website searching for the carseat we had had our eyes on. "There it is" Quinn says pointing at the black frame nuna pipa infant car seat. I glance at the price and almost drop the computer.

"Quinn thats $400!! We can't afford that, we're just starting to get on our feet." He glances at the screen and grabs the compter from my lap. Before I can react he presses add to cart and checks out.

"Quinn! How are we affording that?" I ask looking at him with surprise. Quinn smirks and shrugs. " My dad may have given us a check to start off." I looked at him in shock. Of everyone we thought Quinn's dad would be the one to not approve the most.

"I can't believe your dad would do that for us, how much did he give us?" I ask eyeing my sexy boyfriend and father of my child. He smirks and hands me his phone with the text from his dad. I see the number and almost drop the phone on the floor, $5,000!!!!!!

"Wow Quinn, why did he do this for us?" I ask pushing myself away from him.

"I think he realized that he wants to be a part of his grandaughters life, and he figured we could use the help." I lunge in for a hug, as our chests meet our daughter decides to join in kicking her daddy's stomach. "Did you feel that?" I say putting my hand on my stomach, Quinn's eyes light up and places his hand on my stomach. Our daughter kicks again becoming quite active for so late at night. For the rest of the evening Quinn and I browse around the internet putting our wish list items in carts preparing to purchase for our daughter.

----------

The next day Quinn and I venture over to Heartland to grab a few things I need from the loft. Over the past few weeks since announcing my pregnancy to my family I have been slowly moving things from the loft over to Quinns place. We figured that we would live there, less prying eyes butting into our lives. We drive through the gate and immediately notice Lou and Amy out in the back field with Lydny and Katie, CRAP I thought I would be able to sneak in and out they are usually inside at this time of day. Pulling up in front of the barn Lou approaches from behind the barn.

I notice Lou eye my 7 month pregnant belly as I hop out of the passenger seat. I protectively touch my stomach as she approaches with a look of judgement all across her face. "Georgie, I'm glad you guys are here I wanted to talk with you two about some stuff." I sigh and grab Quinn's hand "Okay Lou, but we can only stay for a few minutes I'm here to grab some stuff from the loft. Could you walk and talk?" Lou nods her head and follows us up to the loft.

"I guess I am just curious what your plans are? We haven't spoken much since you told us about your pregnancy." I sat down folding some laundry and putting it in a bag.

"We are planning on living at Quinn's place, once the baby comes we will begin to look for an apartment together, but for now his place will work for the three of us." Lou looks around and rolls her eyes. "What about the loft? It's plenty of room for you three." I glare at her, " Don't you remember that Amy Ty and Lyndy just moved out of here because it wasn't big enough for the three of them." Lou chuckles and says " Honey that is because they are adults with a child, you guys will do just fine up here, besides I expect you to be at the ranch house a lot. You know since Quinn will be away a lot." I give her dagar eyes and feel my temper rise. "What makes you think he is going anywhere, and there is no difference between Amy's family living up her and mine. Geeze mom I can't believe you are even acting like this. I know we are young but we are doing this together, Quinn is not going anywhere. Lisa has offered him a full time coaching position for her pilot training program for show jumpers." Lou takes a step back and says " But how are you going to afford your own place? Georgie you are 18!" I glance at Quinn who has been silent this entire time slowly gathering some of my things from the drawer. "Mom Quinns dad has helped us financially recently, we are able to get ourselves started because of him. He wants to be included in his grandaughters life. Something I can't say for my parents" I notice Quinn walk toward me with his hand reached out to me. He knows when I am getting too upset for my own good.

"Honey lets calm down, your mom is just trying to understand how we are going to handle this." I glare at him and pull my arm from his grasp. "NO don't defend her, she is trying to belittle our relationship and our ability to care for our daughter. Mom until you can fully accept our daughter and the way we are raising her then you don't need to be a part of her life. Expect this to be the last time you see us." I grab the bags I and Quinn packed and storm downstairs. Amy stands at the office door with her mouth open. I can see that she wants to say something but I beat her to it. " I'm not in the mood amy, don't try to defend her there's no point. We're done with my mom, hell not even peter has reached out asking how I am or how my daughter is doing. I'm done!" I storm past her and jump in the truck. Quinn throws the bags in the back and we drive back down the driveway away from the place I have called home since I was 10.
