I slowly climb the front steps to our apartment at fairfield, holding Quinns hand, I can't get over the site of him carrying our daughter in her carseat. He opens the door and we walk in turning the lights on. " Home sweet home my Kisnley" Quinn says as he puts her carseat on the couch. I walk over and unbuckle her and pick up up. While cradling her in my arms I feel Quinns arms wrap around my with a kiss on my temple. " I couldn't be happier G, she's perfect." Quinn says. Kisnley begins to root and an immediate ache radiates through my chest. "She's hungry let me sit down and feed her she hasn't eaten since we left the hospital." I settle in the couch while Quinn goes in the kitchen to make us some lunch. "Babe do you want a deli sandwich" Quinn asks from the fridge. "Yeah that sounds good." I say staring at my daughter resting on my chest. A few minutes later Kinsley finishes up and Quinn joins me on the couch with our lunch. We enjoy our first meal at home as a family of three. After lunch my phone begins to chime repeatedly. I pass Kinsley to Quinn and check my phone.

Lisa: Hi honey, we just heard that you and Quinn are home, I know things haven't been good between you and your mom but would you mind if Jack and I stopped by to meet the baby?

"It's Lisa, her and Jack want to come over and see Kinsley." I see the expression cross Quinns face and immediately know what his response is going to be.

" I'm fine with it, Lisa and Jack have been the two that are supportive from your family." I nod and text Lisa back saying they are welcome to come over any time as long as they text before. Five minutes later my phone dings and she says they will be here in 20 minutes.

The doorbell rings just as Kinsly starts to wake up from her daddy snuggles. He passes her to me and goes to answer the door. Kinsley roots around my chest, I grab a blanket and drape it over my shoulder shielding my chest. I unclip my shirt and expose my breast for Kinsley to nurse. She roots and then screams out, I jump and try to settle her with my breast but she screams louder. I look over at Quinn just as Lisa and Jack walk in the living room. " Quinn I'm going to take her in the bedroom, hi lisa, hi jack I'll be right back." Quinn takes her from me so I can get myself up off the couch while still being covered. I take Kinsley and go back into our bedroom, settling on my bed Kinsley finally settles on my breast now that she is not being covered. Twenty minutes later I walk out of our room with Kinsley, she is wide away after a long feeding.

"Are you ready to meet your great-great grandfather I say smiling up at Jack." I walk over and hand Kinsley to Jack. The smile spread across is face says it all. He's in love, just like James had been.

" Georgie Quinn she is precious." Lisa says stroking her small hand. I settle into Quinns lap on the recliner, wrapping my hands around his neck. " Thanks guys, she's pretty perfect" Quinn says smiling. "Look Georgie I know you are just adjusting to being a new mom, but we wanted to talk with you two about something too." Oh boy here it comes. Lisa continues " With the birth of little Kinsley it has been weighing on our minds about the disagreement you guys have been having with your parents Georgie." I glance at Quinn "Look Lisa I know it's been hard on you guys with us not being on speaking terms with Lou and Peter but we have discussed this and we both think that Kinsley deserves to grow up without judgement surrounding her existence." Jack looks down at Kinsley and smiles at the now sleeping infant. "Georgie I understand what you are saying but we just thought we would let you know that Lou has changed her views on the situation a bit since the last you two spoke." If this were true why did she not tell me this herself? It's been close to 3 months since we last spoke at heartland. I glance down at Quinn and can immediately tell what he is about to say. He strokes my arm as he begins.

"Jack, Lisa I just want to make it clear that we have no objections toward you two having a relationship with your great-great grandaughter. You guys and my father will always have that door open to you. But when it comes to George's parents, that is going to take some time. To end this I think it would be best for her and Peter to come to us themselves. When they are ready to face us and their grandaughter then we will be ready to talk." I sigh a bit of relief, that is exactly what I was thinking. Jack and LIsa nod in understanding just as Kinsley begins to fuss a bit. I stand to take her from grandpa, I catch Lisa eyeing me from the spot next to him. After slowly rocking Kinsley close to her mama, she calms down and drifts off to sleep. I guess the old saying is true sometimes the only thing a baby needs is her mothers presence.

"Georgie we should be going, but I just want you to know we are proud of you, your a natural with your daughter" Lisa says standing up to meet jack. They embrace hands and turn to walk toward the door. "I'll walk you out." Quinn says walking toward the door. " Thanks for coming guys, you are welcome anytime Quinn and I will be home for a while soaking in this time." I smile at Quinn as he opens the front door.
