Harry made his way down the stairs of number four Privet Drive where he lived with his uncle Vernon, his aunt Petunia, his cousin Dudley, and his baby cousin Lacey. He had just finished putting Lacey in bed and was making his way down to the kitchen to clean up the mess that had been made from dinner.

You see after the war was over Harry went back to Privet Drive to carry on living with the Dursley's. When Harry was in his fifth year at Hogwarts, Petunia gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Only problem being, she is a witch. So every time Harry was back at the Dursley's he was responsible for her.

And life hasn't gotten any better, living with the Dursley's. If anything, it has gotten worse. Now if Harry doesn't finish a chore, do something wrong, or something has gone wrong then his aunt and uncle will beat him and do something a lot worse. His aunt and uncle also allow their friends to join the action.

Whenever Harry is in the hell hole that he is meant to call home, he becomes a punching bag and target for his aunt, his uncle, and their friends.

Harry works a night job in a club, where he is a bartender and a glass collector. So even at work, he still gets treated badly. He only works because he has to help pay the rent and buy the groceries.

Today is his only day off this week. It is Sunday night and he only gets Sundays off. He is the hardest worker at the club and does get paid extra for it. He does hate the job but he needs the money to help take care of Lacey.

He is thankful that he only has six days left of the job as he will be returning to Hogwarts to redo his seventh year. He is excited to be going back to Hogwarts, but at the same time, he is terrified of leaving Lacey with the Dursleys. He would have asked Molly and Arthur Weasley to look after her, but they have enough kids and are still grieving the loss of Fred. That and he hasn't heard from them very much, which doesn't help that Ron has been blaming him for what happened. Other than them, he has no one to turn to for help.

Once Harry was finished cleaning up the mess, he went up to his room, which he shares with Lacey. When he closed the door he noticed a letter on the window sill. "Who could this possibly be from?" Harry wondered, and he made his way over and picked it up. "It's from Hogwarts, but why?" He asked the letter as he turned it over and opened it.

Dear Harry Potter,

I have heard news from Neville Longbottom that you are raising your two year old cousin Lacey. I am writing this to inform you, that you may bring her to Hogwarts with you. Neville has informed me about what is going on, and I wish for her to be safe, for your benefit.

I am also writing this to inform you that I have picked you to be the new head of Gryffindor. All four houses have picked a student whom is returning to redo their seventh year to be the prefect and head of the house. If you choose to take this responsibility, then I will send you all the information that you need.

Please reply as soon as you can, for I worry for your safety. If there is anything that you may need, please do contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Professor Minerva McGonagall

The headmistress

"This is amazing. And a lot to take in." Harry whispered, after reading the letter three times just to make sure that he wasn't imagining it. "Lacey will be safe after all."

Harry quickly made his way over to his suitcase which he had hidden under the bed in his shared room. He opened it and got some parchment paper and an envelop out along with his ink and quill. He sat down at the desk and began to write a reply.
