I woke up to a rustling sound from beside the bed.
After a few moments, I opened my eyes, scanning the room after my eyes adjusted to the dark.
The only thing I saw that could be making the noise were the curtains that blew into the room with the breeze.
I sighed and shook my head slightly, reaching for my phone on the nightstand, after a bit of grazing the table with my fingers, I found my phone and turned it on.

4:40am

Geez, that's too early for me.
Eh, might as well get ready.
I began to sat up before I finally felt something heavy on top of me.
I looked to my torso, seeing my weighted blanket over me.
"Hm. Dabi must've put it there before he headed back to the basement."
I thought aloud, probably being heard in a mumble:

I pushed it off of my body and got up, stumbling around the room before finding the door and opening it, hitting the light switch on the hallway wall to turn the lights on for the hall.
After the lights were on, I began to make my way towards the stairwell, slowly walking down the stairs And listening to see if anyone else was up or around.

As soon as I got to the main floor of the house, I could tell a lamp in the living room was on.
I continued to make my way through the house to the living room. I peaked over the back of the couch curiously, seeing Dabi fast asleep, laying in one of his weird positions. I couldn't help but to let out a small chuckle before moving around the couch and kneeling down and reaching under the couch for a spare blanket.
I grabbed the blanket and stood back up, laying it down on Dabi, then lightly tucking it in around him.
I smiled before walking into the kitchen and turning on the lights, knowing full well Dabi is a pretty heavy sleeper.

"Eh might as well grab a quick snack."
I whispered, opening a cabinet and grabbing a bowl before heading over to the fridge, opening it, and looking through it.
Finally I found myself looking upon some cantaloupe.
I grabbed the container and took it over to my bowl, opening up the lid, finding a fork, then filling up the bowl with the sweet fruit.

After I cleaned up my dish, I turned off the lights in the kitchen and then turned off the lamp Dabi had left on accidentally.

"Hawks?"
I turned around, looking over in the general area of the couch.
"Oh! Yea?"

"Why are you up this late?"
His voice sounded scratchy and tired.
"The curtains were being a bit too loud and I wanted to make sure you were good, then I grabbed a snack."
I answered, smiling slightly.
"Can you come here?"
I nodded.
"Yea of course, do you need something?"
I began walking over to the couch, navigating my way around the furniture.
As soon as I got over to the couch, I felt someone grabbing hand.
"You good Dabi?"
I moved my free hand to turn the lamp on.

He looked like he had been crying.
That's definitely concerning, he's never opened up too much.
"Hey, hey? What happened?"
I questioned, kneeling down beside him, then wiping his tears.
"Agh- god, sorry- it was just a nightmare."
He swiftly tried to play it off like it was nothing.
"Don't be sorry Dabi, what was it about?"
He muttered something quick before sighing.
"It's about what happened when Shoto was around six, y'know? The freezer burn incident."
I nodded along, looking up to his teal eyes, offering him a warm smile.
He reluctantly smiled back, pushing himself up to only move himself to sit on the floor beside me.
He grabbed the remote from the foot of the couch and flipped on some TV, likely to clear his mind.
"Why don't you stay out here for awhile?"
There was a short pause before he looked closely at the tv.
"Hey look! They're playing your debut from a few years ago!"
He chimed.
"You're a dork."
I laughed slightly, seeing him smiling lightly out of the corner of my eye.
I heard him click the channel.

"I'll be back, let me grab something from the kitchen."

About three hours had passed since I first came down here. Dabi was more than half asleep at my side, muttering about how cool some of the newer heroes debuts were.

I felt him relax more, laying his head on my shoulder.
When he finally shifted a bit, I opened my left wing and wrapped it around him.
I could tell he was close to falling back asleep.
He leaned back and moved my arm over his shoulder, and before I knew it he was out like a light.

I grabbed the blanket from behind us on the couch, draping it over the now sleeping male.
He must've done some training with Toga and might've over done it. I could see some medium cuts on his hands and small burns.

I looked over my shoulder and watched Dabi peacefully sleep.

I let another hour pass by watching some older debuts of heroes.
But after the hour passed, I lifted Dabi back up to the couch, wrapping the blanket around him snuggly. Then getting myself up and heading to the kitchen, deciding since it was 'round 8:50pm to make a quick breakfast.

I opened the fridge, grabbing some eggs and milk, then shutting the door, walking to the cabinets and pulling down some vanilla extract and a bowl. I began to put the ingredients into the bowl and grab a whisk from a drawer.

I mixed it thoroughly then grabbed some slices of bread and sat it besides the bowl. Getting down into a different cabinet and pulling out the griddle and plugging it in once I sat it down on the counter.

French toast is always an easy and enjoyable breakfast.

"I better hurry up and finish it quick cause I've got patrol duties in about 2 hours and I'd rather be early than have Endeavor yell to no end."
I grumbled, scratching my neck quickly before turning my attention back to the task at hand.
