Today is the day. Today is the day I am being forced to meet an entire baseball team of boys I don't like.
My best friend Andrew is a huge fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, and he won two passes to meet the team in the clubhouse and hangout with them. The only problem for me is that he is dragging me with him and I'm definitely not a fan of the team.
I'm a proud Yankees fan, born and raised. This, is not how I like to spend my days, but I'm a good friend so I agreed to come.
After I finish 'getting ready', I grab my keys and look in the mirror one last time before leaving my apartment.
I walk down the hallway towards Andrews apartment, four doors down from mine. Without knocking, I twist the doorknob and walk in. "Ready?" I ask him, ready to get this over with.
"Holy shit, (y/n) you don't look ready. Are you sure you want to go looking like that? And you can NOT wear that!" Wow, he knows just how to make a girl feel pretty.
"Andrew, I don't care how I look, I'm comfy." I roll my eyes at him and look in the mirror, taking in the sight of my naturally curly hair going everywhere and my oversized Aaron Judge hoodie. "Plus, seeing their reactions to my sweater will be more fun then actually meeting them." I smirk and leave the apartment, going down to my car with a slightly annoyed Andrew following behind me. This should be fun.
After just a few minutes of driving we reach Miller Park. The guard looks at the passes and leads us into the clubhouse, but not without noticing my sweater and the annoyed look on my face. "You're a good friend." He laughs and opens the door. "Boys, here is your pass winner, and by the looks of it, the girl he dragged along who doesn't want to be here."
"You got that right." I laugh and smile at the guard before he exits the room, leaving Andrew and I with the team. "Go talk to them, I'll wait here and we can get lunch after." Andrew smiles at me and walks over to the large cluster of boys, leaving me alone by the wall.
My eyes scan the room, recognizing all the familiar faces that Andrew talks on and on about when he makes me watch games with him. One face catches my eye more than the others, Christian Yelich. I've always thought he was a little bit cute, but I would never tell Andrew that. We make eye contact and my cheeks flush bright red, causing me to look down. I struggle to regain my composure, the image of his beautiful eyes still flashing in my mind.

"Lo, I really think she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen." I sigh, leaning back onto the wall as I watch the pretty girl who seems to have no interest in anything other than her phone or her shoes. I haven't been able to look away from her since she got here.
"Go talk to her." My eyes go wide and I look at him like he's absolutely insane for even suggesting that. Before I can verbally protest, I'm being pushed in her direction, stumbling right in front of her, causing her to look up. God her eyes are beautiful.
"Could I help you?" Man, her voice is even more soft and soothing than I had expected. Suddenly I have no words. I have no idea what to say to this girl in front of me. "Hello?"
"I- Uh. Hi. I'm Christian. I was wondering why you aren't as excited as your friend?" I lean on the wall next to her and look down at her face. She has been standing all by herself while her friend interacts with the team. I can't help but wonder why.
She moves her arms and I get a clear look at her sweater for the first time today. "Damn." I mutter, because of course a girl this pretty has to have at least one catch. "Ah. Yankees fan, what a shame, so I guess that means you wouldn't wanna get to know me then." I give her a bright smile and take a step back towards Lo and slowly start to walk away.
Her small and warm hand grasps my forearm, turning me around and allowing me to look into her eyes. "I never said that." She gives me an award winning smile and my heart starts to melt. This girl could drive me crazy.
"Amazing. If you don't mind, I'll be back in a moment." I walk towards my bag, walking as quickly as I can. After rummaging around for a few seconds, I pull out a sharpie and a random baseball from god knows how long ago. I make it back to where (y/n) was standing even faster than I left.
"What's that for?" She glances down to the ball as I scribble words on it. "Christian?" She asks again when I don't answer her. I finish writing my message, looking it over to make sure it's good enough for such a pretty girl.
'You're absolutely beautiful, I would love to get to know you even if you're a Yankees fan. I can overlook that for now.
Call me later xxx-xxx-xxxx
-Christian <3'I wink at her before tossing the ball to her, and waking back towards Lo.
"You did it man, look at her face." Lo claps me on the back and I look over at her face, seeing her with the biggest smile I've ever seen on someone's face, and soon enough mine is big enough to match hers.
God I can't wait to spend time with the most beautiful girl i've ever seen. I'm so lucky right now.
She's beautiful.
