"What a great night." Christian smiles brightly at me as we walk through the door after a much needed date night. "But now I'd love to just relax." He kicks off his shoes and takes off his dress shirt, making his way into our bedroom to change clothes.

I waste no time getting myself out of my dress and taking off my makeup before meeting Christian in our room. He takes a moment to look at me, in just a t-shirt and no makeup with tangled curls. "Damn, C, I still don't know how I got so lucky." He whispers and then leans over and kisses me lightly.

We both decide to put on a movie so we can just relax and enjoy being with each other. Happily sighing, I lay my head on Christian's chest and turn my attention to the movie.

About halfway through the movie, my head starts to ache and I start getting sweaty. "Christian." When I speak, my voice sounds weak and shaky. His head looks towards me and his eyes soften, showing a mixture of worry and confusion. I wipe sweat off my forehead and feel my a sharp pain in my stomach. My face scrunches up and I gasp as the pain goes through.

"C are you okay?" He lays a hand on my face and gently touches my forehead. "You're really warm. What happened?"

"I don't know. It just hurts!" The pain dulls down but a wave of nausea rocks my body and sends me running towards the washroom. I barely get there in time to empty the contents of my stomach into the toilet.

Christian comes rushing in and holds my hair back, rubbing small circles on my back with his warm hands. Once the nausea finally stops, I look up at Christian with watery eyes.

"Alright baby lets get you into bed and I will go grab you a water." Christian softly lifts me up and brings me over to our bed, tucking me under the blankets and kissing my forehead before exiting the room.

Moments later he re-enters with a water bottle in his hand, and my favorite cozy blanket from the living room. "Another movie?" He smiles at me, already having selected the movie because he knows which one I want.

"You don't have to take care of me." I look at Christian, trying to ignore the pain in my stomach as he cuddles into bed with me. I can't help but feel bad that he will have to deal with me being sick.

"C, I will always take care of you. It's my job to make sure you feel the smallest amount of pain possible. I love you." He places his hand on my cheek and lays his forehead on mine, smiling his sweet smile at me.

"Thank you, I love you." I snuggle into his chest and get comfortable, finally feeling the pain get better for a moment. He plays with my hair as I start to drift off to sleep.

"We are never going to that restaurant again."
