Aryln was led to her quarters, and was told that there would be servants coming in a short while to help her get ready for the banquet. Aryln thanked the guard, and closed the door. Aryln walked over to the bed, and sighed. She was scared of what could happen. She always knew that Loki had loved her, ever since that day they first met. Her father Hermos and Odin had joined on Asgard to sign the peace treaty and begin negotiation with the neighboring kingdoms. Aryln's father had brought her along, hoping that her soul orb would activate, and show where her soul mate was. For all Angels, their soul orbs discovered their mates at a very young age. Aryln’ s had glowed when she met Thor and Loki, but no one could tell who was her chosen one. Since she was young, and knew very little about her culture, her father had her grow up back on Alfheim. Aryln would take several trips to Asgard for her father, but she always had time to seek out her favorite prince. Loki had been the one who could always soothe her. He always understood her, and she felt a special connection between them.
“Is something wrong, my Princess?”
Aryln smiled, and turned around to face Loki.
“ I knew you'd come,” Aryln told him. Loki swiftly walked towards her.
“ I couldn't wait any longer, Aryln. I had to see you.” Aryln smiled at him. Suddenly her eyes turned golden, and she grabbed Loki by his collar. He saw pure white fangs emerge from her gums. She placed her burning lips against his own cool ones. Her passion burning within her soul ignited, and it blossomed from her chest. Her wings began to flicker, as Aryln’s fiery spirit began to consume her. A knock on the door startled her, giving Loki time to break away.
“ I must go, my princess, but we shall meet again soon. I promise.”
Aryln nodded, and her flames died down. Her fangs retracted back into their hiding place, and her eyes returned to their normal dark brown. Loki disappeared, and Aryln sighed.
“Come in.” Aryln called. But it was not who she expected. Almother Frigga stood at the doorway, with several hand maidens. The young girls entered after their queen. They held dark green clothing, which had gold and black interspersed. Frigga held a box in her hands. The maids wondered how to take off Aryln's armor. Aryln saw this, and said, “ this is Valkyrie Angel armor. No one can take it off unless the wearer gives consent. I give you consent.” Finally the maids were able to remove the armor, and help her into an emerald green a line fitted gown, with a black and gold belt.
“You look lovely,” Frigga told her, pulling Aryln's long dark hair into a high curly ponytail. She placed Aryln intricate golden crown upon her head, and secured an emerald and gold necklace around Aryln's neck. “ There, you look perfect, my dear.” “Thank you, Almother Frigga,” Aryln told Frigga.
“Please call me Frigga, and soon someday, Mother,” Frigga requested.
“Of course, Frigga.” There came a knock on the door, and Frigga put a warm hand on Aryln's slightly shaking shoulders.
“You'll be fine, just enjoy yourself,” Frigga told her. Aryln smiled, and nodded. Then she opened the door, and faced Loki. The smoldering golden glowing in her eyes was still there, and he knew that they could burst into flames at any second.
“Excellent choice, my princess. Shall we?” Loki asked her, taking her hand in his.
