Spending a week confined to a cell with no communication seemed better than the state I found myself in, mentally. Unable to distinguish between left and right while getting some instinctive feelings threw into a more confused state than she thouhht she was in. Maybe staying in the cell for a while would be a better option. Everything was white in my mind, and no memory came to play no matter how hard I tried. As Rigo approached me with what seemed like a bag of food, excitement leaped in my stomach as I leaped towards the cell's door. "I'm...sorry if I misbehaved before. I..need food." She trailed weakly clinging in the bars of the cell. He stared at me with no emotions in his eyes and I looked at him in despair. Then a smile so conniving appeared on his face.
"Sure. Once you've answered my question." A look of uncertainty came over me as I stared at him unsure of what would come out of his mouth next. "Who are you?" Silence greeted us as I stared at him, no response coming to mind for his question and he chuckled before handing me the paper bag.
It was like heavenly delight as I bit into what seemed like a day old burger. I wasn't sure of what I was eating, but I knew I had tasted better because it had a bland taste in my mouth. But being starve for a week made any food brought to me at the moment appeal to me. Rigo stared at her with an unreadable expression, one I didn't care too much about. Swallowing my first bite I gave the only answer I could think of at the moment."I don't know."
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"I don't know. I don't know who I am, or what I was.." He stared at me unsurely as if trying to detect some form of deceit in my words as I continued devouring my food, uncaring to whatever would have been going through his mind. "Thank you for the food." I said with a mouth full of food.
He sighed, pocketing his hands into his jeans. I noticed he was a bit slim, slimmer than I'd first met, about a week ago. The shirt and jeans flapped even with the little wind that came through this part of their gang abode.
"You're welcome." I stared at him strangely as he brought out the keys to the lock of the cell and opened it, feeling unsure about this new phase for me. The cell might have been hell hole, but it was an hell hole I could stay in for a while for a while before figuring what part of earth I could coming in to. He must have thought my feet was glued to the ground because he didn't think twice about dragging me out by the hand to the front door of the factory. Everyone I had seen at my arrival where were they were before, looking at me as Rigo pulled me out, including Rex. Ah, Rex. I remembered his name. I looked back at him and all the other gang members who had faces so hard I could slam them with an hammer and they'd crack."Now what?" Rigo eyed me with hardness in his eye as I matched his eyes not blinking once, feeling the least bit affected by his or any of his features.
"I don't have anywhere to go." Rigo glared at me nonchalantly. I ignored the stare in his eyes, looking around as if trying to find something I'd lost and brought my face back to him to meet him in the eye.
"I'm almost glad you locked me up..cos I'm not sure of where to go since I don't remember anything.""That's not my business." He groaned and dragged her out completely, throwing her off his radii.
"Please. I'll..do anything. Don't throw me out." I begged, feeling so desperate to hold on to something, anything that actually made sense.
But he didn't seem too happy about by persistence. In fact he looked irritated as he walked back in, glaring in Rex's direction. Poor Rex. I hoped he wasn't in some sort of trouble because of me.
"I dont want to see her again. Am I clear Rex?"
"Yes boss man Rigo." Rex came to meet me, almost with a look of pity and angered boiled in me as he tried to hold me. Maybe I made a mistake thinking no situation could be worse than living with no memory, no basic memory of anything. But putting up with stupid people like this, till who knows when could be worse.
