The sorting hat went on for another 2 minutes.
-Snape Katie.
The students all started staring at her and whispering. Thomas just smiled at his sister, she returned the smile and looked at her father. He smiled encoroginly to her as professor Mac.gonnagl invited her to put the hat on her head.
-Hello there, another snape eh! Your mum was a brave little Gryffindor you have much of her in you, but you are also cunning. You want to prove yourself. Hmmm... Where shall I put you. The sorting hat voice entered her mind.
-Please slytherin, please slytherin ! Katie thaught.
-Yes, you are right. SLYTHERIN. It shouted.
Katie jumped of the stool, smiled happily and skipped of to her table. Read invited her to sit next to him. Her smile vanished as soon as she saw Bellatrix. She waved and smiled saddly. Bellatrix smiled back.
-Woll Belatrix.
People looked at her weirdly, others glared.
-Gryffindor! The hat yelled. Everybody insept Katie, Read and some teachers looked surprised and cheered politely. Belle sat down next to an older 3rd year student with Brown bushy hair.
-Hello my name's Hermione granger. How are you, congrats by the way. She spoke in one breath.
-Oh my name's belle fine and you, oh and thanks.
The two girls smiled.
-Hey midget did you know, you're first lesson is a big bloo...
-Ronnnald.... Warned Hermione.
-Its a huge test. He carried on ignoring her.
Belle gasped, and started looking for books in her bag that she had taken with her.
-Shut up Ronald, don't mind him he's an idiot. Don'r get your books out its not true, though you will need them a lot during the year. Said Hermione.
-Silence please. Said the headmaster Albus Dumbledore ringing his spoon to a cup. Silence was respected.
-My dear, witches and wizards. Welcome or welcome back to old students.Another year to go, with amazing teachers, and super exams.
The student groaned at this.
-A few changes have been done to the staff:Defence against the dark arts will be now taught by professor Lupin, and rubeus Hagrid will be teaching the care for magical creatures.
The griffindors went crazy, Bellatrix clapped to but didn't understand what the commotion was about, was he that a good teacher? She thought.
Katie clapped politely too, he didn't seem too bad, but she didn't like the look of the other slytherin glaring at him.
The new teachers sat down, Proffessor Hagrid by banging the table loudly.
-Yes, two great new teachers, but sadly Voldermort...
There was gasp's all around the room, Dumbledore's twinkling eyes had gone, only dark could be seen in them.
-Voldermort is still at large and so extra precaution must be taken, aurors have been placed around the grounds...
He went on about all the rules restrictions, Katie didn't listen, she was starting to remember something, about her father, but she couldn't quite focus...
