Lapis POV

I wait on the sidewalk as the bus approaches me. The door opens and I walk on, placing my backpack on my lap after I sit down in my seat. The bus was rather crowded, and very...diverse. I mean, like there are all types of people here.

The bus driver is a full human, wich is the only human person I know excluding Spinel (Who's only half human) Most gems respected him, especially Spinel. I have no idea what it's like to be a human, but I think it's pretty cool that most of them know how to drive cars. Gems don't get to drive cars because the higher ups think we should stay away from human tradition; even though we literally ride the bus.

I sit next to a Rose Quartz, she is a very weird gem. She always shows up and does her homework on the bus. Other than that, she's pretty cool; except for when she can't figure out how to finish her papers. She gets mad a lot.

Behind me is Blue Tourmaline and Amethyst, they are pretty good people. But they aren't the type of people who try to make new friends.

Beside them sits Pearl, nobody wants to sit with her. And I don't know why, she is the nicest gem I know, and she is the only one in the school with healing powers.

In front of me, is Spinel and nephrite. Nephrite sits in the isle side and she doesn't talk much, but when she does its very little. She spends the whole ride just sitting and staring at the seat. On the window side-Spinel sits. She spends the ride looking out the window. She has a strange plastic thingy that she puts on her head and connects to her 'phone'. I have no idea what it does; but what ever it is, she likes it a lot. But Sometimes she walks onto the bus with with no backpack, just books.

In the seat next to them, Peridot and another lapis sit...well used to sit. They were there for about half a year before one day they showed up fused as Amazonite. She just sits there and looks at the window while drawing on it. One day, only Peridot showed up on the bus, she was crying when she sat down in her seat. Then she wasn't there for the next week before finally showing up again as Amazonite.

In front of her sits Sapphire and Emerald. Sapphire also barely talks while and stares at nothing for the whole ride. Emerald used to talk a lot in the beginning of school but she started to talk less and less, and she always looked sad. But about a week ago, she showed up bawling while hiding something behind her back, she hasn't showed up to school since then...
