Species Talk- Demons

There are a variety of demons in Albon, based off of many animal species.  Each demon, regardless of species, can be categorized into one of three levels, called "tiers".

First tier demons are the most powerful, able to fully take on human form, or embrace their animalistic side and transform into a beast.  They usually have full control of their species' abilities, allowing them to harness their power to it's full potential.

Second tier demons, while unable to become their patron animal, are still quite strong.  They can disguise themselves as human, though some prefer to keep their animal features.  They have good control of their abilities, but are not yet at the refined stage of first tier demons.

Third tier demons are the weakest of the three, but, depending on species, they can still be very dangerous.  They are unable to shift their form, and can usually be identified by their animal-like features.  However, not every demon with animal features is a third tier.  Second and first tier demons are known to keep their basic forms, both due to preference and the advantage of letting possible adversaries underestimate their abilities.  Third tier demons have the least control of their abilities, and have not developed much resistance to any techniques that could potentially cause harm to themselves.

Edit:  It seems I forgot to mention something important.  Demons heal much faster than the other races of Albon.  Small cuts and puncture wounds can heal within minutes, and larger wounds, if simple enough, take only a few hours.  Despite the advantages this healing factor provide, there is a drawback.  Demons use their life energy when they use any of their techniques, and this same energy is drained in order to heal their wounds.  So if a demon has only a little energy left from overexerting itself, large wounds will heal much slower, and could possibly drain their remaining energy and kill them.
