"I think I'm going to go home," said Nii. She let out a heavy sigh and took a step forward. Her leg stung. The pink floral buildings and Siliandians dressed in differing arrays of embroidered clothes surrounded them as they walked through the busy streets.
"P-Please don't. We barely had time to talk to each other," said Temii in a airy tone. He stepped closer to her and let out his hand.
"Well, I'm still thinking about what I want to do here. I didn't come all the way here for no reason," said Nii. Nii began to look calm. Temii sighed. I thought I made a horrible impression on her, he thought. He gave her a slight smile.
She sat down and extended her legs. She sat down in fluffy turf of grass overlooking the streets. A few people walked ahead of them. Wildflowers that looked like the floral pattern mirrored on the buildings grew beside them. The wind made the grass do a gentle dance. The sun gave a moderate warmth that Nii could only feel on the top of her legs.
"I'm glad you're not one hundred percent serious," said Temii. He sat down beside her and gave her a slight smile.
"Do you want to discuss ways to stop their behavior?" asked Nii while staring at her leg. She talked in a soft but direct voice.
"What do y-you mean?" asked Temii. He drew his eyebrows closer together. "Is she thinking about Milamore and mom, Oh I hope not!" Temmi thought.
"Well with how the Siliandians treat the Niotianians. I want to do something to help." said Nii.
"T-That will be pretty hard to do. They are fixed on their ideas," said Temii. He stood up. "Let's go somewhere more private." Nii stood up and let the hurt knee touch the ground first. She then put down the other foot expecting it to hurt, but it gave a gentle landing.
"We should try. Lilia died trying to stop this. There must be someone else that could help," said Nii. Temii's eyes went blank for a few moments. Uh, I don't know anyone. It can't be Milamore or mother. It definitely won't be Milamore and friends. Lima doesn't like to get involved in situations like this, he thought.
"Maybe we can ask Kilia for help," he said.
"With what?" She smiled at him and let out a short laugh. "You know if I come to the senate with fighting skills backed with the power of a god, it will not end well," Nii said.
"Yes, I know," said Temmi. He chuckled. "We just need her help with planning."
" Maybe we should organize another meeting discussing Niotan," Nii said.
Temii drew a symbol on the door of a tall purple building. The glowing blue triangular shape lingered for a while as the door popped open. Temmii entered the room, and Nii followed behind him.
"I can't speak in public," Temii said in a tone that was so soft a mouse wouldn't be able to hear him.
"I'm sure you can. Remember, I'll be there to help," Nii said. She forced out a smile.
"Oh, okay I'll summon Kilia," he said. He grabbed a small purple stature that was covered with dents. A few brown spots that concealed the stone's rich purple hue.
"Kilia come to show yourself to me," he said. His voice always was a little louder while he was preforming spells. The stone began to radiate a faint glow.
"I open myself up to you." Nii joined in with him. The two were speaking at the same time.
"Kilia, I come to speak to you about the status of Niotan," they said. Clear energy swirled from every corner of the room. It twisted and turned until the clothes and body of Kilia were visible. The goddess looked at Nii first and gave her a slight smile. Then her eyes traveled over to Temii's.
"I am going to speak in the senate again. This needs to stop," Nii said to the ghostly figure. Unlike when Lilia tried to speak to the senate, she had a slight smile. Her eyes looked towards Nii's.
"Do you two have a plan? You know Kilamore won't listen to you," the goddess said. Swirling forms of energy surrounded the stiff figure.
"Yes, I know. He attacked me last night," she said. She looked towards Temii. Temii turned towards Nii. "No, I do not have a plan. All I know is that I don't want to fight him. It'll only make the situation worse."
"What if they try to attack you. You need to be prepared," Kilia said in a sharp tone.
"I don't want to think about that," said Nii.
"I-I might start the argument," Temii said in an airy tone. Kilia and Nii paused for a moment. Will he be able to do anything ? Nii thought.
"What are you going to say?" asked Nii.
"Well I'm planning on talking about the situation from a Siliandian perspective, then you can talk about the situation from a Niotianian perspective," said Temmi.
"When do you think we could present this?" said Nii.
"In about a week," said Temii. He didn't have an emotional reaction to the short timespan but, Nii began to pace. Will we really be able to pull this of in a week? Nii thought.
"I'll go with you to the senate," said Kilia.
"It's illegal for gods to get involved in senate issues," said Temii. His voice was a little louder than usual reaching a normal speaking volume.
"I know that. I'm older than you are. I'm coming for protection," said Kilia. All of her words had soft endings and beginnings.
"Is that really necessary?" asked Temii. If the others are anything like your mother, we'll need some support, Nii thought. She scrunched up her eyebrows at Temii and looked at him through the side of her eye.
"Temii," Nii said while turning her head past her shoulder to face him. Energy from the goddess swirled around the room and lost its color. Nii left the room and walked towards the busy streets. Temmi followed behind her.
"D-Do you think we could pull it off?" asked Temii. His voice was softer than a mouse. His brows moved closer together and he looked downwards.
"Yes, I'm sure we can," said Nii without hesitation. She smiled back. Maybe I'll be able to fix this, Nii thought.
