a/n: giant floating cookie time...

-

The sky was dark when they fell through the sea of light blue and turquoise. It was a dark grey, swirling like the compositions of Mozart and the strokes of Van Gogh. Virgil hummed as he looked up, trying to find Anxiety, who was laying on the ground on his back next to him He waved sarcastically, making Virgil laugh. He sat down and looked up at the swirling sky, realizing just how much of a breeze there was in the air.

"OH my! There are visitors!"

Virgil looked around with a curious glare for the owner of the voice. Anxiety sat up beside him, looking to the sky as a large, orange being floated down in front of them.

A large, seemingly freshly baked chocolate chip cookie was floating in the sky in front of them. It had a large set of blue eyes, and a wide, buck tooth smile. It waved friendlily, Virgil looked over to Anxiety, pinching him.

"Ow!" He said. Virgil nodded to himself.

"Sorry, I didn't think I'd be in the presence of a flying cookie if I weren't with either Patton or Roman, or Remus even." He said. Anxiety shrugged.

"There's a first time for everything." Anxiety retorted. Virgil nodded with wide eyes.

"How may we help you today?" He asked. The cookie chuckled.

"Why not do something for a friend? How about Roman?" The cookie asked.

"I thought Patton was the one woh likes cookies." Anxiety mumbled under his breath to Virgil.

"Just go with it," Virgil snapped back.

"Well he is in pain, maybe you cold help him. He may even admit that he would like to listen to your ideas again." The cookie said optimistically. Virgil raised an eyebrow.

"Or how about Deceit? He really wants to talk to you, but he's waiting for you to crawl back to him Virge, I think it's a really good idea to go and talk to him, heck, it might even ease your satisfaction!" The cookie suggested again. Virgil rubbed his eyes, the only thing on his hands was the light smudge of dark eyeshadow.

"What are you talking about?" Virgil asked.

"Oh come on hon, I know you want it." The cookie said, putting its short arms on its imaginary hips.

"Well, Anxiety over there wants to leave and be loved at the same time, he should really try that out, shouldn't he Virgil?" The cookie redounded. Virgil hissed quietly, looking up at the cookie intimidatingly.

"Why don't you both just be yourselves? It's Thomas' and the others' fault anyway. You should just lash out one day, heck it might even help him." The cookie advised. Virgil stood up agrily, clenching his fist and jaw as he bit his lip, trying to contain himself.

"What's wrong my boy? Resisting the pain of fantasy? You have your own Roman's desire in you, why deny it? Why not make it real?" The cookie asked. Virgil broadened his fist, picking it up by his ear and hitting it in between the legs of the cookie.

"AGH!" He yelled in his dark voice. Th cookie's bottom fifth shattered, making it gasp. Soon enough, imaginary eyebrows appeared, and the cookie rose up in the air, its sky blue eyes turning into a deep crimson.

"You wanna see what you want Virgil? Why not gorge yourself!" it yelled over the heavens and Anxiety and Virgil, who clung onto one another tightly before the cookie exploded, it's epicenter where Virgil punched. Virgil smirked before he was put into a maze on closet doors, the air around him black.

He was alone.

"A-Anx?" He asked. There was no sign of the other boy. He shrugged it off, caressing his hang against the horizontal slats of the white closet doors. Virgil marched down the long hallway, looking around. It was surrounded darkness paired with utter silence. He smiled to himself, he was inside of a thriller.

"Virgil?" A woman's voice asked. He stopped in his tracks, looking up and around.

"Hello?" He asked. A bang of his summoning music rang through his ears as a woman stood right in front of him wit clip board and glasses. She had light hair and green eyes, smiling with her lips pressed together, clutching a clip board close to her.

"There you are." She said. He nodded.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"My name is Julia, come with me, I'll get you out of here." She said. She held out her hand for him to take, he shook his head. She nodded, just letting him follow her deeper into the darkness.

"So out of the mirror or the cookies world?" He asked. She hummed with confusion.

"I hope getting out of the maze suffices, I have no idea about either the cookie or mirror world you're talking about." She said. Virgil shrugged.

"O-Oh sorry," He said. She shook her head.

"Never apologize for expressing your thoughts, Virgil." She said as she walked in front of him. Her navy high heals clicked against the floor with staccato every time she took a step. He smiled, her poignancy was reflected through the mirror, it hadn't walked through.

"Be careful within the next few steps, there is a large drop. You'll be okay though, it just takes a bit of action." She said. She then made a sharp left before Virgil fell through the darkness, screaming as he did so.

All the emotions he had felt in the mirror that night started flying through his thoughts. The anger from the cookie, the hunger from the second dragon, the annoyance with the snake, the warmth from the imaginary world, and the light from the first witch. It all flooded through him, swimming through his veins. He was falling through them, tints of the colors surrounded him as he fell, his arms and legs were above him now, he would land on his back wherever he was going.

His mind raced with thoughts of the night Thomas had before, everything he did. How much he had yelled, his voice rang through his ears and echoed around him as he fell, Patton telling him to calm down whilst yelling at Remus, telling him how ridiculous he was. Virgil nearly cried, and at one point even left to rush and put on more eyeshadow after they finally got Remus to go away for a little bit. He cleared his throat, remembering how he looked in the mirror, waiting to be summoned, leaning his arms on the counter desperately, them locked in their straight position as he leaned back with his head up, tired from his battle.

"Go away Noia, the night needs you,"

Virgil felt his mind being pressed, a heavy weight appearing on his shoulder. He looked up as the outline of the landing he was marching through was invisible, the darkness turning into a waterfall beside him. The sea spray got on him, his jacket was the only color he could see, and he could see it brightly. He looked around, terrified, before suddenly falling deep into a chair. He was soon strapped into the dark blue cushion, facing a mirror of himself, only he was wearing a dark hoodie and looked far less tired.

"Anx!" Virgil exclaimed. Anxiety waved shyly to Virgil, trying to hide a toothy grin.

"Clear!" A voice said. Virgil looked around, and then to his younger half.

"What?" He asked. Anxiety shrugged before they were spinning in a tornado's fashion.

"What are we doing!?" Anxiety yelled .Virgil gasped, his breath becoming uneasy.

"I don't know!" He yelled. He looked up, realizing how fast they were going. The navy blue swirl around them suddenly was falling into a point of purple, and black overcame him as a thud went through as a shock through his body.

White noise overcame Virgil as he heard the faint waves of the ocean beside him.
