"But, why would YOU marry HIM?!" This question had been asked of (y/n) every time she left the sweet solitude of her room. "Hes so... ugh, and you're so damn, like, WHY?!"
Instead of answering the student, (y/n) decided it would be best to just stare at the kid ominously until he walked awkwardly away. As she stared at him blankly, she could see the sweat beginning to fall. The student chuckled nervously before turning around and walking away at a brisk pace.
I get called away on 'emergency business', am forced to rule over a country I really couldn't give a fuck less about, don't get to see my husband for six years, and now I have to deal with snot-nosed, beetle-headed little bastards. wonderful.
As (y/n) made her way down to the dungeons for some well deserved venting time with her husband, she really couldn't ignore the stares she was getting from almost every other person in the halls. Even when she made it to her husbands classroom, she kept getting those insistant stares. Choosing to ignore it all, she walkes into the classroom and procedes to slam the door, just hard enough to get her point across before using a locking charm on the door.
The sound of the door slamming startled Severus from his grading. Looking up, expecting to see one of the students being an absolute dolt, he is shocked to see his lovely wife, looking rather upset. "(Y/n), darling, whats the matter?" He stood from his desk and approached her, reaching out to gently take her hand and wrapping and arm around her as he lead her to have a seat in his chair.
Severus sat on the floor infront of (Y/n) as she sat, holding her hand and gently rubbing her leg. "Is it so hard to believe that we're married? Seriously? Is there nothing else these rats can gossip about?!" She reached out and wrapped her arms around her huband, aching to simmer her anger as she rested her head in is hair, taking in the scent she missed so much for so many years. "Is it so hard to believe that I love you...?"
"(Y/n)..." He spoke softly and he slowly pulled outher her grasp, only to rest his hands on either side of her face. "I love you... I understand that you're upset, and it is for a valid reason," he stood, making (Y/n) have to look up at him, "But their opinions? They don't matter, my dear... all that matters is that we are finally together again! Don't worry about their words." Severus leaned down and left a gentle kiss on his wifes forehead, then her cheek. And finally, pressed a lasting loving kiss to her lips.
(Y/n) leaned in as she held onto his wrists that held her head in place. Tightening her grip ever so slightly when he began to pull away. "Severus... Sev. I missed you so much.. I've only been back for two days, but it's like we were never apart." She opened her eyes and stared up at him, with a somwhat unreadable expresseion, "You even smell the same... I love it." Her smile began to spread slowly, causing him to have the same reaction, "Even though you smell like wet dirt and stale coffee." Severus feigned hurt and let go of her entirely.
"I have never been so offended, so wounded, in my life!" He was smiling.
"I can be more hurful if you'd like."
"Darling, not here. This is a classroom."
