*Sonic's POV*

Amy was unusually quiet the next day.

So was most of the gang... except for Knuckles but I honestly think he doesn't know how to read or write.

Sticks was more to herself about her conspiracies so that was a plus. However it is worth noting that she's mumbling to herself while writing almost as if she's talking with the journal and the journal is speaking back...

Back to Amy, she's hanging out with me but in silence more while I talked, mostly boasting and bragging about attacking Robotnik and his toys. I'm surprised she hasn't been out of radar though. You'd think with her "crush", *bleh*, she'd be planning how she's gonna have this "date" tonight with this Nikki guy.

Speaking of Nikki, I have no idea who this guy is. Maybe a loner that just moved to the island and hardly comes out? Maybe he only comes out to hang out with Amy when he's not working? Isn't that a little far-fetched though. I mean, I don't have a job but I doubt that he works so many hours. And why did Amy describe him in such negative and positive ways?!

Regardless, I'm gonna use my new found knowledge to get Amy to like me more.

"Seriously, if Ro-butt-nic brings out a new toy for me to smash today I'm not even gonna let him monologue." I looked to Amy to see her reaction.

She's laughing and blushing.... but she's not saying anything... especially about this Nikki guy. I need So how can I find out about this guy without her knowing I read her journal? I don't want her brokenhearted or to "do" anything too "rash" with this guy.

I also don't want her to leave me... I like-... I love her too much.

"Hey Sonic...?" her sweet voice finally spoke out.

"Hm? Yeah Ames?" I leaned in a bit, not because I didn't hear her, but I wanted her flustered a bit, especially with her pet-name added.

"I-I uh... I need-... um... oh gosh...," she stammered.

Suddenly I was concerned, was she going to ask for advice regarding "tonight?!"

I know I may seem like a flirt, especially now, but I'm... well you know.... "inexperienced."

And no way in hell am I giving her advice for a guy I don't even know-!

"Can you meet me at the beach tonight?!"

Her boldness suddenly caught me off guard.

"Uh- Yeah! Sure... but uh, is everything alright?" I asked concerned.

'What if they planned it already but she changed her mind? What if he won't take "no" for an answer? Wait! How far had they gone? Were they past kissing? I hadn't even kissed a girl! How could, sweet sweet innocent-? OH CHAOS HER INNOCENCE!'

Change of plans.

"Well... I kinda need help-" Amy's words were cut off by mine.

"Say no more Ames! If you need help I'll be there," I said with a thumbs up. She beamed at that. "Okay then, thanks! Meet me at my place at 8?" Her shyness was too cute sometimes.

"You got it! Anyways I gotta go find Knucklehead, I think he's "overthinking" again. Someone has to help him... we both know Tails did what he could but maybe he needs someone more to his level." I smirked as Amy giggled. Without another word, I waved goodbye and dashed off.
