A Year Later
It's graduation and I'm nervous as fuck because I made valedictorian. So I gotta make a speech.
"Come on before your late.!" Pops said.
I put the last finishing touches to my outfit then ran downstairs.
We all pulled up in the truck and drove off.
As we pulled up to Morgan State University. I saw Nikki standing there talking to two guys. As I got closer it was August and Nell.
"Hey Baybee!!" He hugged me.
"Auggie!!" I yelled.
"Wassup Mini me" Nell said
"Nell!! I miss you." I said
"Come guys we gotta line up." Nicole said.
We hurried up inside and we got in line.
Idk why but the put me by Smiley..
"Hey I just wanna say that I'm sorry." He said
"About what?"
"Just everything I put you through."
"Don't sweat it." I said as we started walking.
But unlike them I had to sit on stage.
Looking out in to the crowd I saw all my classmates. My Bestfriend. God I love that girl. She grew up so much. She going to a great Lawyer.
As I look over in the bleachers I see my dad brothers sister step mom and my mom all in one row and blow them was August And Nell.
Me and August locked eyes for a min and then he mouthed
"I Love You."
"I Love You To." I mouthed back.
"Now Out valedictorian come to the mic for his speech." Our principle said
I got up and walked to the mic.
"Fellow graduates, I want you to know what a great gift it is to be as prepared as we are, because not all schools offer such an advantage. Here we have had a high degree of academic excellence and whether you intend to continue your education or not, you will benefit from what you learned here.. We can also be thankful for our families. These past four years have presented us with a lot of ups and downs and it is good to know that we had our families in our corner, supporting us along the way. Thanks Mom and Dad. I would not be here today without you. Finally, whatever you do follow your passion, stay true to yourself, never follow someonelse's path unless you're in the woods and you're lost and you see a path then by all means you should follow that. HAVE A AWESOME SUMMER CLASS OF 2020!!"
Everyone laughed and applied.
Shortly they was calling names. We all danced flipped and shouted across the stage. Some dude proposed to his girlfriend.. it was sooo cute..
"Attention Edmondson graduates. We have a surprise for y'all." He looked over in the crowd.
August then gets up and walks down.
" OMG ITS AUGUST ALSINA!!!" Some black chick said.
"Devin What's He Doing? Nicole asked
I couldn't answer.
"How y'all doing?? I wanted to do something special for y'all.."
I then heard music,
