"Fuck fuck fuck." Neon held his head in his hands. "I fucking knew something was gonna go wrong."

Sat in the intersection, Neon's small red Mazda had been T-boned. He almost hesitated when the light turned green, he remembered the words of his drivers ed teacher "most accidents happen within 5 seconds of the light changing, so always wait a bit before you go." He usually followed that advice, but had told himself he'd been too paranoid lately, he needed to let go. And now this happened.

Neon punched the steering wheel. "Goddamn it!" Hot tears of anger left his eyes. He wasn't hurt, or at least he didn't think he was. "How am I gonna pay for this..."

Starting to bring his head up, he felt a sharp tinge of deja vu. He'd seen this before, and he knew what was about to happen.

"Please be wrong...please..." Neon was shaking now, afraid to look up. He slowly raised his head and looked to his right.

    "God, no." He breathed.

The driver who hit him, a young woman, was limp in her seat. Her soft blonde hair dyed and matted from the blood coming out of her forehead, her face swollen and sliced from the shattered glass. Blood was dripping from the corner of her mouth, he could see the remnants of her sparkly lip gloss being washed away.

Neon went cold. He knew she was dead, he knew before he lifted his head. His tears of anger turned to tears of terror. He didn't know why he knew things like this.

    He wished he didn't.
