If it's meant to be, he'll come back to you. But if not, then so be it. That doesn't mean you have to put your life on pause and wait around for him. That doesn't mean you have to stop living your life just so he can live his. That doesn't mean you have to put your happiness on hold while he's trying to find his. Maybe, he's having the time of his life right now being around all of those girls. Or maybe, he's realizing that they're all just not you. Maybe, he's found a new potential love interest to pursue. Or maybe, he's realizing that he left the greatest thing that ever happened to him behind. Maybe, he's out there trying to find something better. Or maybe, he's realizing that you are as good as it's ever going to get for him. But, all of these maybes drive you crazy, don't they? And you shouldn't be spending your life living on these maybes. You shouldn't give someone who isn't playing an active role in your life that much power over you because he doesn't deserve it and he didn't appreciate it while he had it. So take it back from him and regain control of yourself.
This could be a good thing, you know. Now that you're on your own, you can give yourself time to grow. You can discover more parts of yourself. You can be your own woman and answer to nobody but yourself. And maybe in the future, you two will have grown into better people and have a fresh start. Not to mention, you shouldn't look at this relationship as a "waste of time" or it was "all for nothing" because it's made you who you are today and whether you want to admit it or not, it was a beautiful thing. If it's meant to be, he'll come back, okay? But let's not think that far ahead. For now, let's slowly begin to move on and the first step is to try. So, are you ready to begin trying?
