Chapter 25

Claudia's POV

"Claudia are you ok?" 

My eyes crack open and I see my brother hovering over top of me. I sit up suddenly and push him out of my face.  

"Hey what was that for!?" Jake exclaimed. 

I was mad at him. I didn't want to wake up. The more time I spent with Rose the better. But I understood that I had to be awake to find her. 

I sighed "Sorry."

"So what happened?" Cole asked. 

"She was getting whipped. Silver, I think." I said thru clenched teeth. 

"She's being held captive, but I don't know where." 

Cole put an arm around my shoulders "We'll find her don't worry."  

"Of course I'm going to worry." I mutter but Cole didn't hear me.

We left Rose's house and we promised Michael that if anything happened we'll call him. When we got back to the house one of our scouts was waiting for us. 

"A-alpha I have a message from the head of our scout group." the scout said nervously. 

"Ok come into my office." We all walk into Jake's office. 

The scout glanced at me and then said "We have detected a large group of wolves coming towards the pack. We don't know if it's a pack or just rogue's that banded together but we think that they're going to attack the pack." 

Jake turned to me "Claudia can you think of anyone you pissed off  recently and far away from here?" I punch him in the shoulder. 

"What makes you think this was my fault?" 

"Well you do have a habit if pissing people off. Just answer the question." 

I think back to when we went on a camping trip for school, we went pretty far away from our territory and another pack was camping not to far from us. And I might have screwed the Beta over. Yikes. 

I sigh, "Ok there can be two options. One it was the rival pack that attacked us in the beginning of the school year while all our guards and scouts were in a meeting. Two it could be pack from Greenville Ohio." 

Cole was writing things down on a piece of paper and Jake gave me a confused look. 

"Why would a pack from Greenville attack us?" I rubbed the pack of my neck and looked around the room. 

"Well you know when we went on a camping trip in Greenville? Yeah there was another pack camping nearby and I might have screwed over their Beta." 

"You what!?" Jake yelled. 

"Hey he asked for some of my uh salt and I said sure and that I would meet him to give him some of my salt and I never met him. I think he was pretty pissed about that because he really wanted that salt." Jake looked even more angry. 

"Why the hell did you have salt with you!?" I snorted 

"Don't act like you haven't taken salt before." Jake sighed started planning what we were going to do. He said that he needed to be alone so me and Cole went into the town.

We got ice cream and we were walking down the street. We passed the building with all the books where I took Rose and I felt a pang in my heart. She loved it there. We walked down to a connivence store and I waited outside while Cole went and got some drinks and snacks.

"Hey Claudia right?" I look up and there was Rose's friend Hannah. 

"Yeah, Hannah right?" 

"Yup that's me. So is Rose with you?" I ran a hand through my hair, 

"No." 

"Oh ok. So how are you?" 

"I've been better." 

"Well I haven't seen Rose in awhile so when you see tell her that I have been practicing my sign language and that I have never tried pickle pie." I raised an eyebrow.

"Pickle pie?" 

"Yup." she said laughing.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw a bottle flying towards my head and I caught it before it could it me. I saw Cole laughing walking towards me and Hannah. I ran to him and jumped on him and started to hit him.

 "Dumb ass. Whatever if I didn't catch that huh? That would've knocked me out." 

Cole was laughing and trying to get me off. I got a couple more hits in before he threw me to the ground. The impact was hard enough to knock the wind out of me but I was still laughing. Cole helped me up and I punched him in the shoulder. 

"Cole?"
