It was lunchtime, and Roman was beginning to feel anxious. He was the only one in the alcove, nicknamed The Cave. He hadn't eaten in a few days, and the hunger was searing through his midsection. When Eth poked their head around the corner, Roman practically tackled them.

"Woah, hey. Everything alright?" Eth returned the hug, despite having to stand on tip-toe to hug him.

"Hungryyyyyy" Roman groaned.

"Did you forget your lunch again?"

"No, just didn't plan on-" Roman cut himself off, realizing where the sentence was going.

"When was the last time you ate?" There was no harshness or judgment in Eth's voice, only a soothing coo and a slight hint of concern.

"Few days..."

"You can have some of mine, then."

"Thanks, E," Roman muttered, before realizing Eth was on their tiptoes the whole time. Swiftly, the taller boy swept them off their feet and was now holding them bridal style. A surprised squeak came from the smaller, whose arms quickly locked around Roman's neck.

"That's better, no more tippy-toes for you." Roman laughed, and Eth smiled slightly into Roman's shoulder. He was warm, and Eth relaxed in his hold. They felt safe. Roman placed a soft kiss on their hair before sitting in one of the chairs and falling asleep.

Once Remus and Virgil rounded the corner, they found Roman and Eth, who was still in Roman's hold, asleep on one of the chairs. After a moment of awwing, Virgil gently shook his soulmates awake.

"Mmph?" Eth grunted, snuggling farther into Roman, who smiled softly.

"Love, it's time to get up." Roman cooed, earning a disappointed sigh as Eth stood up.

"Anyway, what's up?" Roman looked towards the opening of The Cave, catching sight of a flash of dark blue, but it was gone.

"Well, Remus should probably explain..." A playfully accusing tone lilting the words.

"Look, it's not my fault he's so damn attractive! I didn't realize I was staring..." Roman shook his head with a soft chuckle. Looks like his brother's as hopeless with romance as he is.

"So, who is this devastatingly attractive guy?"

"U-um, that would be me..." Roman turned to the archway and felt his eyes widen.

Oh no, he's HOT.

"My name is Logan, Logan Picani." He seemed slightly uncomfortable, so Roman broke his stare to look at his brother.

"So, you're really bad at subtlety, huh brother?"

"SHUT. UP." Roman smiled as his brother flushed a deep crimson. Roman turned back to Logan.

"So, is he your one-and-only?"

"How do you mean?" Logan looked like he knew what Roman was actually asking, but needed to hear it.

"Do you have more than one soulmate?"

"Yes. Six."

"Well, I'm Roman, Roman Rayel." He stood and held out a hand. Logan took it, and they both felt pins and needles in their sides. "And that answers that."

"Answers what?" Eth asked, having shaken the drowsiness from earlier.

"Logan is also my soulmate."

"Oh, sick." Etha walked over, a smile on their features. "I'm Eth Frezco. A pleasure to meet you." They shook hands and saw the mark on their right upper arms turn from simple black to an ombre of gold and navy.

After finding Logan to be another soulmate of all of theirs, the group settled into a comfortable conversation, not being too pushy on the topic of bringing Logan into their relationship, as they'd just met him. Slowly, Logan became a part of all their lives, and slowly Logan became a part of their lives. It wasn't until almost three months later that the topic was brought up.

"Hey, Lo?" Virgil was sitting on the table criss-cross, "Do you, ya know, wanna...?"

Logan just smirked before standing up. Crossing the space, he planted a light kiss on Virgil's cheek, causing him to go beet red. "Does that answer your question?"

"Y-yes..." Virgil's voice hitched.

"You good, Emo Knight-mare?" Roman smirked, before realizing said person was walking towards him. "Virge, I-Mmph!" Roman was cut off by Virgil planting a soft yet tender kiss on his lips. Roman melted into it, pulling Virgil from crouching to sitting on his lap. Soon, Roman thought too soon, they both needed to breathe. Virgil pressed his forehead to Roman's, a breathless smile gracing his features.

"Well, that was not what I expected." Roman sighed, smiling.

"I aim to surprise at every possible chance."

"Hey, what am I? Chop liver??" Remus huffed, clearly miffed about being left out. Eth rolled their eyes before plopping into his lap and kissing him.

"There. Happy?" Eth smirked, and Remus had a mischievous glint in his eye.

"Ecstatic." Remus pulled them back in, kissing Eth again.
