Another day at cafe. Today we are going to re-do our cafe floor and for that we have called some of the experts from flooring company. They were working at the main area while I and olivia are thinking about how to redesign kitchen wall. Uncle Mitchell went to get some important instruments for our plumbing work.
For the flooring, we decided to keep it classy this time. You see, earlier it was laminated wooden flooring but this time we are going to use linoleum flooring. It will enhance our new furniture and also look good with our new lights that we are soon going to install.
As I was not here anymore most of the work was handled by Olivia and she did a fantastic job with all the planning and designing for our renovation. Now all we need to do is put this place together and modernize it a bit.
"Hey kiddos look I got us some chicken nuggets and pizza for lunch" said uncle Mitchell entering from our cafe's backdoor.
" Oh lovely! I was starving. But mitchell, mila has this date today with her crush,remember?" lia mentioned.
" Lia its not a date. ..Just two friends having lunch." I reminded her.
"....Just two friends going out together" she synched the sentence with mine.
" yeah I heard you missy but listen..."she was saying someting but stopped immediately as we heard our front door chimes indicating Darwin's arrival.
"I think he's here already. Your date friend" smirked lia. I ignored her, you see there's no point in explaining her.
"I am sorry uncle Mitchell but next time we'll eat together I promise." I apologized and he noded indicating me to go out front where darwin was waiting.
"Hey Darwin your early I tho.." and look who it is! Not darwin as I expected but my dear husband.
"H..hi..Adam. You here? I mean no...I thought...sorry you say...did u want something " why do shutter in front of him.
"Ah..yes, actually I thought why not go out for lunch together. My meeting's for this afternoon got canceled and as I was in the vicinity I thought lets go out to eat something " he said with confidence spilling in each word of his.
" like a date?"I realized I said that out loud "Oh no...I didn't mean that...yes..actually.. no...I mean, I'm sorry but i don't know why... " I blabbered like an idiot that i am.
" Hey beautiful, ready to go out."and we heard door chime again followed by a voice which was of Darwin's ofcourse.
Oh, no!I don't get a good feeling about this.
"Um..darwin, hi. Actually about that,i-" but i was stoped when Adam turned to face him. Darwin removed his glare's and was looking straight at Adam with his dark deep eyes. I feel chills around my neck, I don't like the idea of them together. Call it a intuition or whatever but something definitely was wrong.
" What the hell are your doing here?" Adam spoke first with his cold voice.
" I can ask you the same" Darwin
" Thats none of your business " said Adam still looking straight into dameins eyes.
" Oh Adam, Adam. Still stuck at the same place I see? " Darwin said with a smirk on his face.
"Shut your mouth. How dare you even show yourself to me after what you did."Anger spilling through Adam.
They knew each other?
Darwin glanced at me standing beside Adam and spoke with a smile a evil smile looking towards Adam" What exactly have I done Adam? You see I have a week memory, I don't remember clearly. Will you kindly elaborate. "
I was now looking at Adam with a confuse expression. One can see the nerve on the side of his forehead popping out little due to aggression.
"I will deal with you later. Come Mila " with this adam held my wrist with a firm grip that send shiver down my spine and started dragging me but Darwin blocked his path.
"Ah hann...Where do you think you are taking her?"
"As I said, none of your business, now get out of my way " Adam spat but damein didn't even flinch.
" Thats where you are wrong, it is my business. The poor girl whom you are taking with you is my date for today."
"What?" I was astonished.
"WHAT?" Adam almost screamed.
" I knew it!" Lia said,I almost didn't notice her and uncle Mitchell standing behind the counter and scrutinizing the scene and also the workers.
"Darwin i don't-"
"How dare you? Stay back! If you dare put your filthy hands on something which is MINE again, I will make sure you're dead this time."
After browbeating Darwin, Adam shouldered him before dragging me out of the cafe not waiting to hear darwin's reply.
