Recap:

"Welcome to the broadcasting club," Tsukasa says, smiling. (Y/N) looks up to him and he's surprised to see a small genuine smile on her. His smile broadens. "Then I guess, I'm an official member..." her smile only grows wider.

(Recap over)

(Y/N) POV

It's been two weeks since I've joined the broadcasting club. Since then a few things have happened.

To start, they threw me a welcome party. We played board games (I won every time) and ate tons of muffins with tea. It was a really low-key party with only four members.

Throughout my time at the club Tsukasa has gotten even more clingy, holding onto me at all times. He always gets mad whenever I arrive late or don't pay attention to him, leading to even more clinginess (if that's possible). Despite only knowing him for a short time, he's already my best friend. He doesn't judge my childness at all. In fact, he plays with it. I always look forward to going to the club.

On the third day, Sakura pulled me aside for a 'girl talk'

Flashback

I was just about to enter the broadcasting room when Sakura stepped out. "(Y/N)," she says warmly, "I wanted to talk to you". Despite her warm aura, I can tell that the topic is serious. She leads me to a secluded part of the school. "About Tsukasa, there's something you should probably know..." she says.

Sakura continues, "You may or may not have picked this up yet, but he can be... a bit scary. Especially for me, because I have to obey him. If he does anything that makes you uncomfortable, tell me." She turns around, about to return to the club room when she adds, "One more thing, if he asks for a smooch, feel free to say no."

End of Flashback

Over the duration of these weeks, I've found that Tsukasa makes that face quite often. The one that sends shivers down my spine and made me want to cower in fear. Over time, I got used to it. It no longer sends the hair on my arms to prickle like a cactus, however it still makes me uncomfortable. Oddly enough, he seems distraught that I no longer react.

Over these weeks, I've also noticed that they don't broadcast much, well not in front of me anyway. I suspect that they were the ones who spread the rumors of the apparitions, but it's not something I want to dwell on. I don't want to believe that my newfound friends are spreading those rumors. It's also my reason for not looking for the person who spread the rumor about the Mokke.

There were also new rumors popping up. Like the Misaki stairs. If you step on the fourth step, your body will be torn apart and your blood will drip down the stairs at twilight. Or the 4pm bookstacks, where you can read about the future or past of anyone at the school. I would usually investigate these types of rumors to find a powerful apparition, but I've been too occupied by my new club to care. The club's enough of a distraction to stop me from investigating wish granting Hanako-san.

I haven't told anyone that I'm hanging out with a ghost. Not that I really have anyone to tell in the first place. I wrote it to my pen pal. I keep my letters to him in a box under my bed. It's not like he can write back anyway. I debated on whether to tell Yashiro-senpai but thought better of it. It feels nice having this secret to myself. Telling Minamoto-kun would be murder knowing that he'd fight and die to Tsukasa. That's another thing I've noticed, Tsukasa is, by far, the most powerful apparition I've ever encountered.

Ding ding ding

The end of the day bell snaps me out of my unorganised thoughts. I gather my school stuff and head to the club room. When I arrive, only Natsuhiko-senpai is in sight. "Where is everyone?" I ask. "There's no club today, so would you like to go--" I close the door, not caring about the rest. Sakura-senpai has taught me well.

I decide to spend my time on the old building's roof. There's no club so I don't have to return home anytime soon. Maybe I'll find some Mokke to play cards with.

I pry the sticky roof door open and take in a deep breath of the fresh air. I'm about to settle down before I notice Yashiro-senpai, holding a bag of doughnuts. She appears to me having a picnic. My eyes drift to the floating person next to her.

"Tsukasa?" I ask. In confusion. Since when did Tsukasa and Yashiro-senpai know each other? At my question, both of them look over at my stunned face. They each carried an equally stunned face.

"Tsukasa... what are you doing on the roof?" I ask, still stunned. By now, he'd usually already have hugged me. What's going on? Now that I take a better look, doesn't he have a black seal on the other cheek? His attire and eyes also look different.

"Do you know Tsukasa?" the Tsukasa impostor asks. I shift my position into a protective one. "You're not Tsukasa" I say with suspicion. "Do you know Tsukasa?" he asks again, ignoring my statement. His voice is shaky. Is he scared of Tsukasa?

Suddenly, the pieces come together. He's Tsukasa's twin, Amane. I had no idea that he was an apparition. Why didn't Tsukasa mention that? Judging by Amane's fearful reaction, they must not be on good terms. I wonder what happened.

During this whole interaction, Yashiro-senpai looks from both of us in confusion, still trying to piece together what's happening.

"Yes, Tsukasa and I are friends" I answer, feigning an innocent expression. "You must be Amane, his twin."

Yashiro's expression goes from confused to slight recognition. Amane's eyes hide behind his hair. When he looks back up, his expression is much more serious and determined. "Has Tsukasa... ever done anything hurtful to you?" he asks.

Yashiro pipes up before I can answer, saying, "Amane... your past self right, Hanako-kun?" Amane nods.

Too many questions were filling my head. Hanako-kun? Does he go by Hanako-kun too? But Hanako-kun is a school mystery... Wait! The reason why she didn't want to go investigate Hanako-san with me last week was because she already knew him. And he must've been the one who saved her from the rampant Mokke. She must've heard the rumor that he could grant a wish and seeked him out. that means the Amane and Hanako-kun are the same person. The answers clicked in my head quickly. I'm not a self proclaimed detective for nothing after all.

I walk up to the two and extend my hand to Hanako-san. "This introduction may be overdue, but my name is (Y/N) (L/N), I'm Tsukasa's friend. Nice to meet you." I say, smiling and trying my best to sound mature. He takes my hand hesitantly, most likely because I'm friends with his twin. How much does he fear his brother? "If you don't mind me asking, why are so afraid of Tsukasa?" I ask. Amane's eyes widen.

I didn't get the chance to hear his answer because at that moment a strong gust of wind blew, the cause seemed to be a suspicious origami black crane. I watch as Amane skillfully leaps into the air and slices it in half. A piercing laugh floats through the air. One I recognized as Tsukasa's. "I found youuu~" his voice rings. Amane's previous fear distorts into absolute horror. Tsukasa continues, "Wow that knife brings back memories! Hmmm... so you'll protect her... but you killed me?" he says referring to Yashiro-senpai. "Long time no see. You... do remember me, don't you? Amane."

By now I can fully see Tsukasa. He's wearing the same old uniform as Amane. I look back over to the duo. They both looked scared.

Tsukasa notices me by now. "Huuuh? (Y/N)? What... are you doing with Amane?" He had a scary tone of voice before but now, I can tell that he is full on angry.
